Am I the only one that actually loves contract marriages dramas 😅 like weather its Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean lol I tend to love them all 😂😂😂

this drama is a typical case of 'i heard this story 30 times already but this time i don't mind hearing it again as long as the leads have good chemistry' both leads did a great job.. i'm surprised by how much i like this drama already. i hope the latter half won't disapoint

I agree with what you have said, I'm enjoying it but not because of the plot. The mains are so cute, having me grinning non stop. Their chemistry is quite good and the grandma is adorable like I love her. Hate the love triangle though.

It’s very entertaining, and the chemistry of Wang Zi Qi and Wang Yuwen is great. Their comedic timing is great. And Yin Sichen’s assistant is fun! I love his subtle expressions, smirks and other reactions.

I also bingewatch the drama because they just look so good together. The male lead is long gone, he fall so hard and even we know that when he said he didn't enjoy being with her, it's all lie, his gaze, his attention lingers on her more than what he knows. I even like the cliche of the evil childhood friend, I love the way he reacted with her confession. This is so cliche but I eat it all up. I love that they aren't childhood affection but they both has childhood friend. Also she is so shining, she is so pretty in what she did, also the clothes complement her so much. I need to mention this again, he really know how to show that he loves her already, ah, I want to rewatch it because it makes me giggly.

you know why it's good cause she reacts in a very natural way to his flirting it is not overly exagerated acting

I wasn't even going to watch this drama because of the stereotypic storyline but I did because of the male lead and found myself surprisingly LOVING this drama. As I was watching the drama I was thinking "Omg AvenueX would not be impressed if she watched this because of the artificial sweeteners and typical storyline" LOL and to my surprise I SEE THIS FIRST IMPRESSION VIDEO. I am so glad you're enjoying it the way I am.

An old fashioned drama but still enjoyable and refreshing. I am totally agree with you

When Tencent showed the Promotion clip a few days ago, there were over 300,000 viewers (I am sure some were viewing it repeatedly), I knew it's going to be a hit.. You said it perfectly, the male lead definitely had his own personal charisma. He is not the most handsome actor in the business now, but his leading dramas would get audiences especially the female ones easily addicted to him. I sort of thought that his acting skills improved since The Imperial Coroner but then after watching your comment, then I realized that it was his personal charisma. He is only 25 and will have a long way to go once he is established. What I wanted to write like their chemistries and heights etc were included in your whole comment. Thank you. Love this drama.

I'm so pleased we have similar feelings about this one (and many others, actually). I kept thinking, Why am I watching this tired old story? but couldn't look away from the male lead. He is perfect in the role. Thanks for validating my love for this drama!

in Saekano : Koisuru Metronome, the MC said this line : "being cliche means it's captured the attention of readers (or viewers) regardless of the era". There is nothing wrong by making a cliche and tropy story, as long as you do it right. Just like cooking, it hard to create a creative and new dish, but it take another kind of skill to make a common dish that very delicious.

She really liked this drama i see🤭 Even her talking about the bad things she's all smiles and laughing hahhahha Also, that's what i thought too! Everything that brings the characters together, creating the plot one by one are all logical. That's why this drama is so different from other contract marriage drama

one unintentionally funny thing about this drama is how male lead's assistant and his friend actors at first glance look kinda similar... to the point i thought they were the same person but with a different hairstyle

I loved Wang zi qi in the imperial coroner and was looking forward to another drama he would appear in. I know I will love this one.

You Are My Glory is definitely a different take on romance. There’s nothing common about it from the romantic storyline to the epic space launch. I am glad Dilereba used her actual voice in the drama.

Well sometimes old fashioned tropy plot can be really enjoyable if done right, at the same time a new unique plot can be uh-oh, if direction is messed up

8:37 I havent watched most of Wang Yu Wen's shows so can't comment on her acting, but YESSS she is sooo pretty 😍 And her beauty isn't really aggressive. It's the 邻家女孩 type of look that you'd find pretty on first glance, and continue to find it comfortable looking at her.

I really liked his character too in Imperial Coroner & her character in Novoland! They are outstanding together in this drama.

I wasn't expecting to like this drama much. One of the main reasons I like it is because of the chemistry of the main leads. They look so good together and can act well. Doesn't look forced.

Totally agree with what you said. I watched first 10 episodes in one go as well and had good fun. Even though the plot is cliche, I think they need to keep making it every once in a while especially if they do it well. You need a cute romcom in your life. I like the leads too. I love the dresses the female lead is wearing, cute and girlie.

yes wang yuwen is so cute help i first noticed her in super star academy (watched that show cos of xiao zhan, kinda regretted it LMAO ). I think I will give this drama a try after my exams ! :D

Ok because of you. I went to look at it. And well…I’m obsessed. Why can’t they just release all 24 episodes. Male and female leads are so good 😊 so happy but patiently waiting for the rest of the episode. Yes, old old Chinese drama stereotype but as old fashioned as it is, he makes the lead male sooo compelling and she is soooo anti heroine. It’s love 💕 at avenuex first sight 🥰

I miss the old concept. If the drama plot is repeated, I don't like the drama performance because I know what will happen or poorly scripted. However, Once We Get Married made me fall in love with these repeat concepts. The chemistry ML and FL show so much love and minimal situations solve a short amount of time. I watch a lot of drama; it takes 5 to 10 episodes to solve a minor problem. The love and characters did a fantastic job.

Saw th teaser for his a couple of days before the premier and it caught my interest and took note to put it on my “likely will watch” list. Now after seeing this, I’m definitely giving it a go though I might wait a bit more to get more episodes out. I don’t mind old fashioned, trophy, done so many times before plots, as long as they’re done right and the chemistry is there.

their chemistry is amazing. the theme is typical but managed to catch me off guard with some of the twist. the FL some angle looks like Zhao Lusi, in some other angle looks like Park Minyoung, so I really enjoy her visuals a lot. perfect drama to relieve your everyday stress.

Wang Zi Qi is the bomb. I only starting watching because of this video but I am so glad I did. It is adorable and thanks AvenueX for doing this video.

Wang Zi Qi and Wang Yuwen played in the drama Novoland the Castle in the Sky 2, but he was not the main lead. The main lead was Xu Zheng Xi.

I'm a huge fan of the main actor since I saw him in Novoland Castle in the Sky, and the Imperial Coronor, so excited about this one. And he will be in The Longest Promise! I"m new to Chinese dramas so haven't really seen a modern "contract marriage" story before.

I like this background, the lighting is great too! More pleasing to the eyes.

I wasn't expecting much from an nth time contract marriage drama, but the next thing I knew, the 10th episode is over and I had to wait another week for the next episodes. I didn't really understand why I was so pulled into this, but after you explained the actors, I was thinking "That's it..the casting of actors were spot on". The similarity of physical stature was also on point. I'm really enjoying this.

Really enjoyable to watch this drama.

I watched the imperial coroner earlier on and I was really charmed by the wangye character, Wang Ziqi's portrayal of him was just, wow. I went to find more works of his cuz I could tell a lot of the little details he put into playing as wangye was his own efforts and not just because of good character writing. From his posture, to the way he places his hands. But seeing as he just started with the imperial coroner, there weren't anymore dramas he starred in :') I'll definitely give this drama a chance. Even if it's such a cliche plot set up, I'm such as sucker for the contract marriage to the cold, aloof CEO archetype haha. Also, it's funny to see how in the imperial coroner, he plays the cool guy who hardly smiles because he's always calculating/thinking, but has a heart of gold, while here, he plays another cool character but with a more snarky, arrogant personality, basically the two opposites of the "cool male lead"

I love good contract marriage dramas and books. That said I was going to put this one on the back burner, for a rainy day. After this video, I gave it a try. Like you said, it brings a lot of enjoyment and keeps you watching. As for the suits being made for the ML, you are so right. I have had a difficult time with the latest suit fashion of looking like a young teen trying on his father's suit.

I love the simple stereotypical romantic tropes that most don't like. When I was younger I preferred the wore well thought out plots with multiple layers of meaning. I find that as I am approaching 40 I prefer the simpler ones now because I don't have to think when I watch. Thanks for the review. I'm going to watch this next.

I'm glad you are enjoying this too because I'm loving this too after stumbling upon this drama. I stayed for the ML because I liked him in Imperial Coroner even though it's filled with so so many cliche tropes.
