@@starlightpoppy741 That's what they meant. Therr were no sound but it was animated so good that it feels like we can actually hear them speak. As if we could physically hear their emotional speeches just through their facial expressions.
"To die for you is my greatest honor." "I am forever your most devoted believer." damn Hua Cheng.....just who the heck wouldn't cry while watching this??!!!
Ahhhh thank you for saying it this way. "Nothing lasts forever" often feels like such a negative thing (nothing "good" lasts forever), but with this perspective, it also means that nothing "bad" (i.e. being separated) lasts forever either.
Spoiler ahead. At minute 1:40 these lines play automatically in my head: "All of a sudden, thousands of emotions, millions of words swarmed into his head. There was gratefulness, there was shame, there was heartache, there was wild joy, but above all else, there was incurable love." I ALWAYS CRY WITH THIS. XL was completely in love but then he had to suffer seeing HC vanish.
6:16 "Hua Cheng’s gaze was gentle and blazing, that remaining eye filled with love, and it gazed at him silently. He seemed to have said something, but there was no sound. Xie Lian wouldn’t give up, reaching out with both hands, trying to snatch him deeper into his arms, wanting to hear him better." ok I'm done torturing myself
also. I dont know if I cried more reading this particular scene or reading the next ones when XL is waiting for him to come back because he believes in him aaaaahhhh (do u remember the scenes of the months passing ? yeah that was a fatal blow for me) I just remember I was crying my heart out reading all those moments
I'm Chinese, and if you read the Chinese subtitles you will find out that this line holds a much bigger impact as that, and is a lot more poetic. I have a few other favourites too and this one is also one of them... I love this.
@@madelineshrimp @Ms Daddy I only know a little of rag taggedy Chinese, but from the Chinese subtitle is: 我愿永不安息 Wǒ yuàn yǒng bù ānxí If you kinda break it down: 我 - I 愿永 - Willing forever, directly translated but basically means forever willing 不 - to not be (before an adj) 安息 - This means at peace, the kind of feeling when you feel as if your heart is at peace/your mind is at ease So basically, Huahua is willing to never be at peace for FOREVER for Xie Lian ;~; Also, considering the fact that he's a ghost, this kind of carries a double meaning because when ghosts no longer have any attachments, they can rest in peace and reincarnate, but Huahua is willing to never reincarnate to stay by Xie Lian's side 💕💕💕 I hope this kind of helped a bit?? Honestly the words are traditional Chinese, so they have a lot of different meanings when applied in different contexts, but I think the general gist is translated well enough 😔🙏 Now it's time to binge the novel and donghua till I can't cry no more Also.. plz tell me if I'm right or wrong @Bubble Bellarina
@@chaand2024 i don't know where u can read the manga, but if you're referring to the source material it is actually a novel and u can find it at NovelUptades, it's completly translated. It actually has a manga, though the story is a little bit confusing in there, the art is gourgeous. It also has a Donghua.
His eyes were going blurry, his speech staggered, and he stammered, “...Alright, don’t say any more, I get it...but, but don’t be like this, alright? San Lang? I...I’ve borrowed so much spiritual power from you that I haven’t returned yet. And, I’m actually not done saying all that I wanted to say earlier, there’s still so much. It’s been so long since anyone listened to me talk, won’t you stay? Don’t...actually do this. I won’t be able to take it. Twice, it’s been twice already! I really don’t want there to be a third time!!!” Hua Cheng had already vanished from this world twice because of him! However, Hua Cheng only replied, “To die in battle for you is my greatest honour.” “...” Those words were like a fatal blow. The tears in Xie Lian’s eyes could no longer be restrained, and they came pouring out. Like he was hanging on to the last thread of his life, he pleaded, “You said you would never leave me.” However, Hua Cheng replied, “There is no banquet in this world that doesn’t come to an end.” Xie Lian bowed his head and buried it deep into his chest, his heart and throat in constricted agony, unable to speak. You can literally feel Xie Lians emotions, he doesn't want to relive those 800 yes worth of dullness, he had always hated separation yet it constantly happens to him😭
@@weiyinghadanaffairwithbichen I read the book, (translated version) of both Heaven Official's Blessing and The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation and when I got to the scene your username is referencing, I have to say I didn't realize that's what happened until I saw a comment about it and reread the chapter (actually paying attention this time, usually if there's a *** scene in a book I'm reading I'll read it but I'll tune out)
the line "i pray to never rest in peace" gets me every single time. like this man really did suffer so much and lived an eternity just to be with his love. and it was all so worth it
Or they got so bitter after crying so much and couldn't help but be angry at what happened at this scene... I low-key hate the author for making me cry so much because of her/his novels but I also love them so much because I was blessed enough to get to read such wonderful works.
@@justtzeera same TwT im litterally crying over 2 points- 1-that hua cheng died it was so sad 2- that time when u realize u can never find a human as dedicated as him-TwT
Idk why but the part when xl says “its been so many years since anyone listened to me talk” hurts the most? He was all alone, no one by his side. He was so lonely, everyone he knew turned their backs to him and he lived a miserable life. Before hua cheng it must be so hard for him
His perseverance.. really astounds me to no end. He and Huahua are the most courageous people I've ever have the honor of knowing, each in their own ways, and even if it's only through a novel :(((
“To die for you is my greatest honor.” Huacheng died for xie lian 3 times... the first assumingly from the war, the second absorbing the attack as wuming, and the third protecting his highness from white no face. He really is his most loyal believer and soulmate, he’s willing to never rest in piece for xielian. His only dream is xielian. such a defiant love I’m bawling 😭
It hurts like 4x more after reading or at least getting lots of spoilers from the whole book 4. Have fun :D The novel basically focuses on how they develop their relationship in the present timeline and how Xie Lian falls in love, but this scene wraps up all the past Xie Lian wasn't aware of, that all the people who stayed by his side in his darkest times he is so ashamed of are actually only one person - the one he loves the most. That Hua Cheng wanted him from the very beginning despite the knowledge of what he'd done in the past. It's just too much for me to endure, back to crying--
So freaking sad how much it took for them to be together. Because Hua Cheng was alone too. Maybe there was “people” around him but he only wanted one and he couldn’t.
People: "Romeo and Juliet is the most profound love story" Me, having only recently found this yet bawling my eyes out because they love each other so much and they've found each other in these different 'lifetimes' and- *sobs aggressively into carpet*
No matter how many times I read the novel, watch the anime and watch this, I still can't stop sobbing so bad when I realize that Hua Cheng waited for him for 800 years and died for him three times. I keep getting sad whenever I realize that this type of love can only be found in people who are willing to sacrifice so much for the one person in their heart...
@@ghalavlogs6028 ah, he's not permanently gonna be gone. He just needs time to kind of recharge himself with power. He's gonna come back to his love 🤧♥️
Hey I'm new to all this ! I just finished heavens official blessing on Netflix, I don't remember it saying hua cheng waiting for him for 800 years do u mind telling me where u saw that 😭
"To die for you would be my greatest honour" "Your highness, trust me, I am forever your most devoted believer" Out every donguha, manhua, novel, Anime, etc I have seen. This is my favourite. This story really had me crying, the plot, the twists, the WORDS for heaven's sake the WORDS, this story wasn't only about revenge and defeat, but love, tons of it, MXTX really captured the main Idea and it really shows. I bawled because of this story, never have I ever seen something as amazing as this. I think that MXTX really worked hard to show the emotion that comes through in the novel, her style of writing is beautiful and has me in love. Out of all her works, this has always been my favourite. People are always saying Hua Cheng and Xie Lian invented love, Hua Cheng Is loyalty, and they really did. I think that their love is what true love should be like. 😭
This chapter hit the hardest, it was so heart wrenching, just as Xie Lian thought he'd overcome all odds, he lost the person he loves most - Hua Cheng, right before his eyes. Gosh why must life be so miserable for them both why?
@@dancrblue yea! after the whole fight, the heavenly officials talk abt fixing the court..and xie lian waits everyday for hua cheng to come back..he ended up waiting a whole year- they reunited on the same day they met.. i sobbed so hard auurg
"do you know why I refuse to leave this world?" -"because I have a beloved person still in this world." AAAAAAA, if we ever get to see this scene in the donghua and i survive it, i'll come back to this comment lol
Just the storyboard killed me if I see this in color and WITH A SOUNDTRACK I’ll physically ascend! I and then jump straight back down to the ghost realm like HC.
Through reading this novel... so many of what I believed(or perhaps convinced myself to belief) have been, frankly, thrown to the ground. In Xie Lian, I've been encouraged that there is indeed strength in kindness. A lot of people talk about Hua Cheng a lot and it's understandable, but to me Xie Lian is just really lovable. And in Hua Cheng, well, he gave loyalty, devotion, love, his everything to the one he loved the most. He loved Xie Lian no matter what state he was in- even knowing Xie Lian's most darkest times... how can such a love exist in reality? Tbh, hualian's love makes me jealous even because to trust in one another completely, to rely on and love... it's such a very rare thing. Goodness, gotta love these two though qwq
So my question is, is there like an actual novel like Harry potter or something (just used as an example) or is it like a manga series. Because I finally found a site online where I can read the manga, but people keep mentioning a novel so I keep assuming it's like an actuall book. If there is like an actuall book, where can I buy or find it? (I'm thinking this might be similar to "Who made me a Princess" where there's the online Manwha and then the actual book it was based off of which is "Lovely Princess" which I think you can actually buy. This is just a simple question because I'm super obssessed w/ this series and I want to know all the lore behind this, tysm :)
@@ra1nyd4yz68 Well, it used to have English translations roaming around online, but I can't find them anymore and don't know if there are any left because the novel has an official, printed translation now! It's been a while since I've checked, but there are at least a few volumes of the novel out already that you can buy. There is the manhua you can read on BiliBili Comics, but for me I really love the novel lol (oh and there's the animation of this series too- just season 1 though I think)
Yo that part in which Xie Lian is in the graveyard (when he's banished for the first time) and is drunk and falls in the ground and that little ghost fire says just give me some time, I cried beekejsksjh
"How can I not be scared? I’m gonna go crazy!” “WHAT DO I DO?” “I know, I know. But...what should I do now?” “You said you would never leave me.” When I read the book I cried and cried and cried and now I'm crying again. He was losing his love and he couldn't do anything. I just can't imagine how he felt.
You know you're doing something right when an animatic without dialogue (even temp dialogue) can make a casual viewer want to see it fully animated, dialogue, sound and all.
We all need a San Lang in our life. San Lang waited for Xie Lian for 800 years my goodness and in those 800 years his love never faltered, never decreased. Such passion. Nobody got this much patience. Truly amazing
this, but another thing that breaks me is what do we have to go through to be worthy of someone like hua cheng and then be lucky enough to even meet this person in the right time. literally makes me want to be single for my whole life because now my standards are too high even for myself
Xie Lian also tried to get close to HC during that scene in order to hear his words clearly, but before he could even put force into embracing HC, he dispersed into thousands of butterflies: (
me reading this in the novel: tears fell me watching this animation: crying uncontrollably me watching this animation in time with "No Separation": sobbing loudly without restraint
CRYING, HEART TRAMPELED. "I am forever your most devoted believer" will never fail to make me cry. Hua Cheng is the embodiment of devotion. He waited 800 years to be with Xie Lian, died for him 3 times, and lives only for him. His devotion and passion for Xie Lian is in a whole category of it's own. They're truly made for each other and so lucky to have each other (as a result my standards are now so ridiculously high for love).
Thinking about how xie lan's internal monologues always said he didn't knew whether to laugh or cry, and after being alone for 800 years he really didn't had anyone to talk to, so it must have been forever since he cried like this
Don't worry You didn't get too far. Although I must admit that you gave yourself some good spoilers, you have not seen the most impressive plot twist, I recommend that you continue reading the novel ☺️👍
@@dahliaalshafaq If you want spoilers. No he didn't die. He just took a rest just like he said. After a year of waiting, Xie lian came home to find San Lang/Hua Cheng waiting for him. They both hug and then they made a shrine that had both him, and San Lang as the main thing to worship for. And yayaya go read the novel. You won't regret it in the least!
came after finishing the book. this part was the first time throughout my entire experience with tgcf that i cried and i cried madly. seeing it animated this beautifully... thank you. thank you so much for your great effort. this truly is breathtaking.
@@wanderer9825 don’t worry, i doesn’t have a sad ending, this is the storyboard of chapter240-241 and there is 244 chapters sooo... read ti dont be afraid to continue
This is not related to TGCF but something that made me cry for 30mins straight during a incredibly moving scene was Banana Fish. If you enjoy anime and gangster type stories, do give it a go. It is beautiful too.
The love between Hua Cheng and Xie Lian is so pure and sweet honestly, I cried to many times reading the novel and this is just absolutely beautiful to watch that scene come to life.
Wow, this is ubelievable... as a TGCF fan, but mostly as a former animation student, I'm completely amazed by you work! You were able to convey all the heavy emotions from the scene in such a manner, it's so hard to communicate that much in a storyboard! Great work, I can't even find the right words to compliment you!
My dude...trust me. There is so much more to this novel. You have spoiled merely *one* plot for yourself. I suggest you don't watch any othrr video though. There are plenty of other plots left that may be spoiled because of them.
same I'm gonna start reading it tomorrow and thought I'd watch some stuff on youtube first, and the first thing I watch slapped me in the face with a spoiler I'm -
He believed that this man would die for him again and again , and would reborn again for him over and over . Even if he fell into the depths of hell , he would break through the abyss for his 'belief' . Last time, they spent eight hundred years running towards each other. This time, it took only an instant to fall in each other's embrace . PAIN 😭😭😭😭A LOT OF PAIN 🤧🤧
@@MrBazpt the English translation is finished tho,,, it's on a Google drive and i really appreciate that this person took a lot of their time to actually translate it all, 200+ chapters and whatnot
I was so mad at the novel for this. I literally bawled my eyes out on this chapter, and then he came back like a couple chapters later. I was so furious, but also relieved. Seeing this scene again makes me feel pain, even though everything works out in the end. Gosh, I love their love.
@@nsuauab Okah, spoilers. He died a couple of times in the novel, but he always came back, cause to kill a ghost you need to destroy it's ashes. In the scene I was reffering to he dissappeared for giving away too much spiritual energy, but he comes back shortly after.
When I read this part of the novel, I literally started sobbing. It was so sad. After everything, Hua Chang had given Xie Liam enough spiritual power to break the cursed shackles, yet in the end, Hua Chang did not have unlimited powers. I Fr thought he was gone for good. My heart was in my throat as I read the chapters of Xie Lian waiting for him to return, as he went about his days longing for the other to come back, knowing in his heart that he wasn’t gone for good. The moment the two saw eachother again, it was pure bliss. Sometimes throughout the book I hoped for more intimacy between the two, but when I look back, the pure love that the two shared was truly what made this book so great. It was less about two lustfull beings (which they are not exempt from, to be clear) and more about their loving relationship where they both could fully trust in one another and know full well that as long as they where together, all would be well.
This is an actual masterpiece of story writing, the bonds between people, their suffering, and every single emotion carried by each character is outstanding. I have never seen such an amazing love story but not only that but also about self-love and how paths that we take in life can be difficult to swallow even if they are done with the best intentions. my best quote from this book is "The one standing in infinite glory is you; the one fallen from grace is also you. What matters is ‘you’ and not the state of you." but also "Those who have known each other for decades can become strangers in a day. We met by chance, and we may part by chance. If we like each other then we shall continue to meet; if we don’t then we shall part. There’s no banquet in the world that doesn’t come to an end, so I’ll say what I want to say." This is a book which can truly be best experienced reading it the first time, it is something so special and i URGE TOU ALL TO READ IT.
the tears are endless and i made it worse by putting this to the background of the theme song. this novel shook me to the core of my soul and i don't think i'm ever going to recover from it. thank you so much for this, this is extremely beautiful and if we ever get to see this scene animated, i think i might die.
okay but bro xie lian, it must've been so many things to take in, from just defeating your enemy, to finding out your lover is someone who saved you years ago to seeing your lover die in your own arms like, he's so string for all that. I can understand where Hua Cheng is coming from.
I really appreciate and love the fact that there are people recreating scenes from the novel that hasn’t officially been released. It really shows how much of a good writer mxtx is for people to imagine and portray the scene out so accurately and how talented they are as well! 💗
@@littleturtle3915 (small) Spoiler This is what happens in the novel, but it is not the end. There will be a happy end. It's beautiful. :) As for the donghua, I guess nobody can say at this point how closely this part will follow the novel.

You know when you read smth, you love it but it doesn't end well and you're like: "what? what?? what?!" Well I put this kind of things on a cell in my brain named: "loved it but don't want to ever see it again" and it's horrible bcz I still remember most of the things i put in this cell...heartbreaking. Anyway it's not the end...jus' a bit of drama and this is good, it's always good a bit of sadness. Like i already said THANK YOU like SO MUCH!
I’m 2 years too late but my god. I read the book twice and cried at this chapter both times but this storyboard had me BAWling! Everything is exactly how I imagined it and seeing it come to life… I just don’t have the words. This is truly beautiful
I love how it ended with Xie Lian looking at the red string and then that expression after - it made my heart soft. What a wonderfull way to end the video after such a sob scene. Good job !
omg that end when he sees the red string again i- the pacing was perfect. i actually forgot that was part of it and you really hit the nail on the head with that. *chef's kiss* made me cry a lil. I didn't even cry for the novel. man.
I’ve never cried so much while watching something even though there no sound I can still hear there voices through your beautiful work of art the emotion and animation are all so well presented and I think that’s how you managed to make everyone cry your so talented this made me cry a lot but it was so worth it (best 7 minutes and 45 seconds of my life)😭😭🥰
I remember being on the verge of tears when I read this scene in the novel and now after watching it actually get animated, I just want to bawl my eyes out ;-; thank you so much for the video :)
The way I had to go read the novel after watching this (Literally cried mid math class about it, then squealed when I read about him coming back to life again 😔🤛)
😓 When I heard about this novel and everyone said that they really wanted to cry, I thought it was exaggerated. Now I accompany everyone in that feeling of sadness 😰😪😥
