Shoma, I just wanted to thank you, for not only the amazing performances you've delivered. But your existence, is a beacon of hope to me. I saw such a great deal of myself in you. Over the years I watched so many beautiful performances by you, what you are skating and delivering--is art, your programs are masterpieces, testaments of your mastery and artistry, you are the virtuoso on ice. But who you are, the fact that you are so sensitive and caring to the people around you, and always try your best to make them happy; the time you said you wish the fans who only like you can love figure skating in general more than just appreciate your performance; and your attitude and thoughts, the way you hold on to performance and artistry, not just jumps and techniques; the time when you felt hopeless but still carry on. I feel blessed when I am watching your performances. Thank you, for being such a mere miracle, and inspiring me. I have and will always look up to you.
I was so glad to receive notification of your new video. Thanks for sharing the challenges that all skaters face in their daily practice and performances. Your dedication to training is inspiring, and I wish you much continued success in your career. Arigatougozaimasu, Shoma. Ganbatte! 👍
Shoma, I am so happy that you are doing what is right for you. Please don't forget that you have supporters in Europe who will still want to follow you. Thanks for everything you have done to promote truly artistic skating.
It's bittersweet really. Out of the many retirements of the past few seasons, this one hits me the most. There's just something about this man that stirs my heart and soul when he's skating. He always has a way of taking me along the journey of every program. I am beyond happy for him to have made that descision since he has already achieved anything there is and the new generation of skaters is closing in. The competitive life is an unfair one and Shoma has lived it for so long. I will forever miss his pressnce on competitive ice, a presence I still feel is needed there, but I am so proud that he can retire happy and healthy. After all the hints that he dropped this season, I selfishly still hoped he would continue to compete just a few more seasons, but in the end this is a good timing to close the book and pick up the next one. Shoma, you really formed this era of figure skating and I am forever greatful for the aspects of figure skating you stood up for. Your artistry will be missed dearly. Thank you for making me fall in love with figure skating, I am excited so see what is next for you!
Thank you for reopen your uploading channel. Very interesting topic of failure indeed. We all face failure and hope we can always face our failure with a smile. Looking forward to your next one.
I'll miss you, Shoma-sama 😢. Thanks so much for all the art, beauty and marvel you gave us...Ice skating without you won't be the same. Please come to Europe for ice shows as soon as possible!
Welcome back Shoma!! It's so interesting to see the ups and downs of your training and what goes into these performances. It's because you make it look so easy in competition that we tend to forget that falling is completely normal in figure skating. Hope you can share some more of your training when you feel like it, but you should also remember to chill out a bit during off season lol And damn that 3A fall looked PAINFUL
thank you for this video 😭💙 it made me laugh and cheered me up. just in case will say that english subtitles like on the previous videos would be still much appreciated by a lot of us, if that is ever possible! thank you for posting again, this channel really got me through a lot of tough times 😭💙
Nice to hear from you again after such a long time. I was very pleased to find a new video from you. Even though I can't understand Japanese, it's very interesting what you want to tell us. As I said, I don't understand Japanese, but through the video material you show, I understand what you want to show us. Thank you for giving us an insight into your training and explaining what mistakes can happen in the individual jumps and step sequences. 😘
You can turn on the auto translation to English via the subtitles in the settings☺️ They may not be 100% accurate but enough to understand what Shoma wants to say.
Thank you for uploading! I look forward to anything you do. I will probably watch this again so I can understand more of the skating mechanics you're describing. Would you do a third video of you learning English? I love to watch you skate. I hope you consider performing in the USA soon.
