It is exactly my story. I arrived Toronto 5 years ago. The first job is in a shoe factory for half day, the second job is in a Hong Kong Style Restaurant for two weeks, the third job is in a Shanghai dumping factory for 5 months. Then, I got my current job until now. It is an amazing journey in my life.
There is always some adjustments and some hard time that has to go through. When you look back, you notice some sort of “growth” inside you and that was amazing indeed.
If your spoken English is not good enough & education level only HK high school ... also over 30 ! immigration will be hard to settle down ! But there are many mainlanders settle down in Australia, New Zealand, UK, France, US, Canada ....adoptability & determination!

Is it a matter of face you emigrated to Canada? Don't look back the life that you used to while living in HK and try your best to adapt to local cultures
