I think Sonny did a really good job, he didn't make his English too easy instead explaining/teaching to Nagao words or expressions if needed and gently corrected Nagao as well from time to time which is very important when learning a new language :D Good Job! ^^
looking is the action and see is the effect of you looking; looking is the action in which you direct your attention towards a direction/subject, while seeing something is the process in which your brain comprehends the subject ;;; ex.) "look over there" response: "oh i see it". these aren't the exact definitions but i hope they at least give the context for which word you would use!
