As a local, you should have walked up and down Prince and Duke streets east of Washington St. It is a gas lamp area that is very peaceful. The area has a ton of old and interesting architecture.
We were just in Alexandria a few weeks back visiting our daughter who moved there from across the country. I'm quickly falling in love with that area, especially Old Town! We ate at the restaurant where the patron and waiter waved at you, and in addition to the great food, we got to watch the fireworks across the river at National Harbor from our table. Thanks for sharing the video!
It looks busy and vibrant like a lot to do, but it doesn't look like a big city, I love the historical streets and buildings and I love how it's near the water
Thank you for capturing this. Had to move from Alexandria after living there for a long time and started to feel nostalgic. Finding this video was a boon 😊
look where i came from people are just people ok hispanic white you see a lot of interr mixed dating but out here people look down on it the only reason i moved out here was for my job thats it now dc is cool baltimore is cool new york city because people do no care what you are they just want to make a living and take care of their kids but god bless
Magnificent view of 250 year city that have streets name King,Prince, and Washington. My kids love to watch 4th of July firework across the Potomac river in D.C from comfort of Old Town.
There's been a lot of changes since I lived there in the 70's and early 80's. I don't remember so many streets being blocked only for foot traffic. It was hard for me to recognize King street.
They only blocked the street because the restaurants had to move outside due to COVID. They were thinking of doing it anyway, prior to 2020, so 2020 just kinda forced their hand. And now it looks like they'll probably end up keeping it - But it's only that last couple blocks of King Street.
@@4KWALK idk maybe sometimes women can get uncomfortable while you're filming them or something. Glad to hear you don't experience it. I love your videos
Hello Diane, my name's Audrey and live in Maine. I really would like to move there with my 10years old daughter Luna. But I really don't know anybody there. When I saw your comment I was like is she would like to move there too? Ahahah. Are you there already?
Awesome!!! We do this exact same walk almost every day. We easily could have been in that video, depending on when you were there. The video says Monday 8 pm in July. Was that July 19th?
Precioso lugar!! Muy bien recogido el ambiente. Observo , por la ausencia de mascarillas lo bien repletos que están los restaurantes y cafeterías, que la vida ya transcurre ahí con normalidad. Enhorabuena!
