This route was my first ever flight. I’ll never forget that day But that time I got lucky with in-flight entertainment! I watched Kung Fu Panda 2 since I was a kid back then

I dont forget my flight the other way last year. Neither my flight heading out & into the red... Doing on Jetstar BNE-SYD SYD-AYQ. I came dressed In a Jetstar a320 hawaiian shirt. Suddenly i got invited into the cockpit during my short stop in SYD. They wanted pictures with me and especially where i got the shirt... Still made my connection & I ran like In home alone... I still dont get why transfer Isnt as seamless as anywhere else In the world. Didnt have to leave the sterile passenger zone to check my luggage again. Doing AYQ-SYD on Qantas. It was as expected, they even showed crocodile hunter/crikey its the irwins on the overhead. Came prepared with a Qantas 747 hawaiian shirt & It got ground at SYD turning heads. But I dont forget 4-5 aud for a mars bar In the outback. As a danish tourist I never get the way australian domestic flights work & why you have to use passport sometimes... Neither did i get why my Jacary 9 croc getting vetted at Brisbane Intl (made In australia on the gold coast)...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Jetstar is a budget airline (a Qantas subsidiary though) and it is their policy not to transfer baggage between flights (with limited exception). In addition, Jetstar and Qantas use different domestic terminals with no sterile passage in between at Sydney and Melbourne Airports.
