We need an 8 bit Sabaton game, and it honestly wouldn't be too much of a fantasy. I mean, on their official website they have their own game called "Long Live The King". All that is needed is that someone from the Sabaton team sees this channel, they get in contact with a competent game developing team and our dreams come true.

I remember growing up in the 90s playing this game on my NES. I used to leave it on the title screen playing this song over and over because I loved the music but I wasn’t very good at the game. I always got stuck on level 3 where you have to cross the desert because I didn’t know how to fill your extra canteens at the well until my friend showed me how to when I was older.

Somehow manages to give me chills even in 8-bit. Honestly, it's the only song where I feel like I can still hear the lyrics when it's converted this way.

It’s incredible what we used to get out of just 4 tracks - some incredible music. Then 8-bit samples came along and the early primordial roots of trance and EDM were born. The Atari ST (rival to the Commodore Amiga 500) with built-in MIDI ports totally revolutionised the entire genre, giving birth to the piano roll and multi-channel step sequencing - and then Fruity Loops and Orion lit the fuse on the Dance Rocket that’s still hurtling through space to this day. Happy, simple times - not spending hours wasted, searching through thousands of sounds and samples to find the right one like today with literally Terabytes upon Terabytes of shyte. Gimme a new Roland W30 any day and I’d swap it for my Kronos - the keybed action *still* feels better than any other in the last 30 years - compared to the Triton’s rolling ocean of cheap and lifeless clunky plastic, the W30 bed was worth every penny of the £1650 price tag - listen to the old fart in his 50’s, all bitter and wasted. What a pleb….. I sound like my father, *after* he died……
