【Aigüestortes National Park - The Pyrenees】Catalunya, Spain 

The full name of this area calls Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. From Barcelona by car, takes about 3.5 hours. This time we walked only around Aiguëstortes. Aiguëstortes is a word in Catalan means twisted waters. Indeed, the park has hundreds of crystal-clear mountain lakes, streams, waterfalls.
“Planell d’aiguëstortes” is a plain of the valley Aiguëstortes, located at the end of itinerary of “La Ribera de Sant Nicolau” a 2h hiking trail, on the way you will see Llebreta Lake (“Estany de Llebreta” )and Sant Esperit Waterfall( “Cascada de Sant Esperit”). Another way to reach Planell d’aiguësortes is by tourist minibus from the village called Boí. The round-trip fee is 11.5 euros per person, just pay to the driver directly. Tourist minibus stops just outside of the National Park Information Center of Boí.
