The Typical Golden Child and Scapegoat with a twist...I like it! I guess when it comes to the Golden Child, it would go two ways. Either grew up into an entitled parasite, or someone who would snap at every time for expectations with no will of their own. Miyako must have known that her parents were toxic as far as she could remember and observe. And both she and her brother needed to get out. And not to mention that she found someone who understood what she was going through in her husband.
My cousin inlaw is Japanese. She also said that most Japanese parents would never behave this way. However, as with any other race, nationality, or religion, there are ahole parents like this all over the world.

This channel, at least, has licensed the use of original Japanese scripts (on virtually identical styled channels just done in Japanese) and does English translations. That is the source for many of these channels stories, and why some of the concepts ring so false to us in America and other western cultures. "Compensation for dishonoring your family? What?" Sort of thing. Those Japanese IP holders license to as many people as will pay (and some will copy the original with payment or not) with non-exclusive deals. The English versions may alter things to make it seem more American (typically, though sometimes British), but others like this keep the names and cultural references and just change the language. Few of these channels do original stories just sometimes there will be a run of translations of the same story at roughly the same time. As an aside, I heard one of the "dishonored my family" stories the other day with a line "Your father is George from Kansas City Kansas, right" with no other change in cultural references. So they talked about dad being a salaryman and other Japanese references. It was the uncanny valley in text form.
This channel had said, in the past, that these are paid for and licensed English translations of original Japanese scripts. There are a ton of similar channels that don't pay for the rights and have lower production values that can crank the episodes out faster because they are actually pirating them, bypassing the hurdles that the legal way causes. It may be the same story, but the previous one you heard may, or may not, have paid to use the script. In any case this is not a "pirated" story, just two channels making the same original Japanese script in English. Both may have paid (I only know what this channel says, not the other) so it's likely just an enterprising Japanese IP holder selling a non-exclusive script to as many people as are willing to pay.

at least the very poor quality of script from the standard point of words and turns of phrase that English speakers never actually use makes sense now with the names… And would it be too much to have the pictures even remotely resemble the names?

@@viral_texts I saw a video with almost the exact same dialogue about a week ago. The channel it was on also had [Apple] in the video title. It may have been the Air Texts channel, which is the one I usually watch. The channels that don’t have [Apple] in the title are poorly done, so I feel sure it wasn’t one of them. I’ve been ill, and binging these types of videos while trying to get better, so it is hard to recall which is which.
