About five years ago I used to live down the street from a funeral home that I would pass by every weekday or when I went to the store. Through the windows in the back of the funeral home I could see an elaborate dining area which seemed out of place to me for a funeral home. One day when I was on my way home a family that I had never seen before stopped me as I was walking past the funeral home. I forgot what country they said they were from but they asked me if I would join them for a special meal. They explained that in their culture when someone in the family died it was the custom to invite a stranger to eat with them. By inviting a stranger to eat with their family they were assured that their loved one who had just died would be welcome into heaven. If they did not invite any stranger or if no stranger would accept their invitation then their loved one who died would never be allowed to enter heaven. That was the only time that I ever ate a meal at the funeral of someone who was a stranger to me.

Eloise is gluten free, and OMG that can add a price, and they are usually only smalls. I've gone GF on doctor's order and ugh it's been annoying. And I'd bet anything that they didn't finish 95% of the full pizzas they ordered.

If my guess is right I think I know where this came from. There's a Japanese version that came out earlier where the child's name was oronounced "King" with the kanjis for "Hero" because the mum thought King is English for Hero. And berates OP for apparently not knowing that. It felt less cringy here, but in that version it's what we'd call a kira-kira name and it can get her kid bullied...

I know. I would buy at least, depending on where I get it and how much I ordered and the size of said order, about $60 to $20. My favorite places for pizza are Papa Murphy and Pizza Rita. At, of course, the store bought pizzas like Safeway and Walmart.

@Jennifer Beyer a family size pizza for my parents and I from Papa Murphy, or two mediums, depending on what pizza we want and last week, we have two pizzas; one large for my parents and I got medium sized pizza from Pizza Rita.

Look at the names - they are not Japanese names, usually they are Western names. And if they are meant as 155 yen instead of $155.00 dollars, wouldn't you specify that and you would definitely not write it as $155.00 if you meant yen. Plus, 155 yen converted to US Dollars is $1.15. That's pretty cheap for a "high-end" pizza joint.

these days $20 for the whole pie is not high. a single plain slice is about $1.50 to $2. at least in Jersey. but who knows what planet these people are from :D and you're right, theres no way in hell the 2 of them ate 10 pies

The only time you would carry your passport with you is if you were in a foreign country whether you were living there or just visiting. And of course if you were living there you would also have the visa or whatever legal documents were required stating you had the right to be there.
