Ascension 15 for IS#4 has been kicking my ass.... And! Thank you so much again for 500+ subscribers! I really didn't expect to get as much attention as I have in such a short time, especially since my upload schedule is only once every 2 weeks haha. I've been having so much fun making these videos and I'm so glad that people are enjoying them. .....back to the IS#4 grind i go hehe
It was also stated that patriot went up to the north and killed demons himself at the ursus border in the walk in the dust event. He is so strong not because he is a wendigo but because he never lost. Not to demons, not to man, not to sarkaz
IS2 is the experience of being inside a spooky theatre. IS3 is what would happen if funny fishes started evolving. IS4 is cosmic horrors beyond comprehension.
After seeing the horrors in the North, The fact that Lugalszargus and Kharanduu were able to push back the Southern demons with what they had at the time is honestly impressive.
I Honestly can't even Imagine how they did it.. Killing something named the "Poltergeist king" and getting rid of the collapsals in the south for a few centuries makes me wonder how strong these guys are. Can't wait for ending 4 to have translations so I can actually read about it haha
I read from the wiki that the Khagans were literally fearless and the Demons used fear to get stronger. Since they are fearless the Khagan and Lion King were like that crazy king in Lord of the Rings "You have no power here."
With enough resource and manpower of course. Just look at Warhammer, human nations there ( Empire, Bretonia, Kislev, Grand Cathay,...) is able to goes toe to toe against Chaos and it's infernal army ( Which is worse than whatever we have here in Arknights) despite their ancient technology. ( For example, Chaos Champion. In Warhammer 40000 the Imperium military have to use tank a size of a villa, or mech a size of skycrapper buiding just to kill it)
@@mammothmk3355I’m not too learned about 40k. But I think they would lose to the seaborn. Since they were capable of taking over the world as long as they assimilate a specific character. There main strength being that they are difficult to kill and adapt to become immune to whatever killed them. Which eventually made them unstoppable ending all life except what was essentially an ARK.
"The tree would migrate with them". Sami people built their settlements on and around said tree. So technically speaking, it's an organic mobile city, just like other cities in Terra.
is4 and sami just absolutely rule, I never thought to pay attention to the flavor text of the collapse paradigms explaining how they were warping fundamental rules of the world and social constructs thats goddamn horrifying.
9:02 isnt the reason her house come alive is not because of sami, but because her house is made from nachzehrer tree(the tree that you fought in chapter 12, the tree that turn into a rot eater after destroyed). And the description explain the reason why her house is made out of the nachzehrer tree is because she is someone important to the nachzehrer royal court(Nachzehrer king), and the tree is basically her protector bodyguard
I think that’s both correct and wrong, we see in the “Black Forest wills a dream” event, Sami is INHERENTLY special, the anti altitude meds Maggie uses has multiple plants from Sami, and it is mentioned they can be grown outside of Sami. But because of Sami being built different, they won’t have the special properties
@@aperson336 I never said that sami and the plants found in it isn't special, Because it is. im talking about her house specifically, that was made using the nachzehrer tree thing. Im just saying that the reason her house come to life is mainly because it was made of living Nachzehrer tree, aka some sarkaz witchcraft thing and isnt because Sami itself I mean, you litterally fought those trees in Londonium Victoria in chapter 11
@@aperson336 imo this feels like a stretch. I don't think there's anything to indicate there's anything very Sami going on there, she's just a very powerful Sarkaz who happens to live in Sami
It even more crazy that the All Father or will of Sami is a ferunmut. Yes the whole mountain in 7:49 is a freaking Feranmut. IS4 is a worth read especially the monthly operator which pack with lore.
Pretty insane lore here. At first I didn't even know what the enemies were actually supposed to be. Like drones are literally little black holes, I thought that is just a design choice. The only thing that you should fix is how you say "Wendigo" and "Engrossing" Not Wendingo, but WEN-DI-GO. 6:45 "engrossing" as in IN-GROW-SING 10:15
You know what scary? From both later IS 4 lore and ZH/arturia event We know the real demon never ever set foot on terra In is4 one almost goes from the gate but pushed back by amma. In zh witch king said collapsal only like the foot soldier of higher dimensional being ,that if one enter terra the world will collapse. So yeah the foot soldier is strong enough that needed for 2 strongest human in the past(lugal and kharanduu) to wipe them from south, needed sami witch craft, sarkaz witch craft, ursus tech, yan tech etc to keep the one in the north in check The real deal will destroy the world via existing in it
Yeah, I believe Lugalszargus even died in the fight with the poltergeist king right? I can't remember where I read that but I'm pretty sure. Also! I didn't even know that collapsals were mentioned in Zwillingsturme, can't wait to read it haha
@@mammothmk3355 Lmao. Lore is about to turn into Warhammer. Sh*t will get real soon in Terra. Dokutah will probably die of back pain due to carrying out the planning strategies. Ahem -us-
@@errebusaether I mean.... Games Workshop put all their effort to spread their IP. From just a tabletop game, now we have video game, novel, comic, animated TV series,... And they is planing a live action work too (Either TV series or movie). Against that, *Arknights stand no chance.*
@@mammothmk3355anything that can destroy an entire world just by existing in it would be at the very least, the same level of a greater demon, so you're gonna need something more than just a bane blade Or maybe just a named space marine
I very much appreciate the format and tge ways you approached and engaged with the topic of Sami. It is one of my favorite. This video is my girst pf yours and eaned you a subscription.
this made me appreciate the lore sm amidst the frustration of IS4 malding XD I genuinely enjoyed every min of this 👌 would it be okay to request more content like this of lore detail analysis? no pressure 🙏
Oh shit, you're responsible for the SCP description?? I already saw somebody copy pasta it on a reddit post, you may have created a long lasting AK meme! (Time will tell)
If your referring to the part of the intro with the "Immediately run away leave Sami" part, that's actually translated from an official handbook by Hypergriff! The part before the guideline would be my own original script tho haha
I like how even with how terrifying the Demons of Sami are, they still all got decimated by the Seaborne constantly evolving and adapting, eventually overrunning them.
I don't remember how they dealt with them (if even mentioned at all in IS3), but considering how IS4 doesn't really show an actual collapsal/demon besides that one boss, maybe the seaborne never really dealt with them properly before leaving Terra Either way, they're basically two horrors that you could throw against each other lmao
i love the intro . for me the Collapsal demons are keter and Sami is a Thaumiel. i really like the setting of is4 a land in the cold where common sense is null and void , where your thoughts and emotions are a danger to you and your friends where if you are not careful you are not coming home. remember do not bring with you what shouldn't be brought if you do run and return to sami.
IIRC, Samivilinn should be a feranmut like Kjerag. Following the lore in which some Feranmuts rest (Or die) on the lands (And now mistaken as a mountain), like how where Kjerag carcass is now the holy mountain. Sami most likely is similar to Kjerag.
I feel like if they have some sort of SCP foundation analogue in terra they would probably be similar to columbia's maylander foundation hahah might be based mostly on columbia too
Sami became so hostile to stop the spread of the Colapsal. Meanwhile, Kjeragandr "Wow, the about to build Rocket Launcher on my body! Isn't that cool?"
Watching this at the dead of night was a bad idea 😂 Still, query: among the IS lores, which are the most frightening? I think people lean into the collapsals more because it’s new lore and it’s still mostly mysterious.
Collapsal because atleast seaborn we now know everythibg about them(except maybe the early process of them created) Meanwhile collapsal even after is 4 and zwilingsturme event end we know little about them
In the absolute worst case scenario where the seaborne starts evolving out of control, we do see them evolve to wipe out the people of Sami in a simulation. But honestly we've never really seen a real collapsal. all these enemies are just a product of their influence... So I'm going to put my money on the collapsals haha
@@FABKlNG the seaborn are freaking scary since they’re sea zerg and can evolve pretty much everywhere, but I think knowing of the lore and having Skalter and Mizuki on our side mitigates that fear. The collapsal’s schtick is mostly the fear of the unknown and the cognitive infection… huh, I really do wonder how Frost survived that now…
One of the ending in is3 did just that, not just the Sami but the whole Terran civilization (Sami's was the third to last guardian, the second and the final line of the defense were Emperors Blades and Imperial guards of Yan)
There's not really a wrong way to start reading the story, the lore is dispersed throughout the nodes of IS#4 and character files that are associated with Sami (some info seemingly comes from random sources like Seige's Module description). BUT a good starting point is reading the lore archives from IS#4 like descriptions of collectibles which you can find in the lobby of IS#4, or the story of Typhon's Vignette event. If you're still kinda lost (which is understandable, the lore is very intentionally confusing to add to the mysticism), you can go to the wiki, here's the link: arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Sami Thanks for watching!
There are 3 Sami Snowpriest we know of, you forgot about the Frozen Monstrosity boss that acts like Frostnova Sometimes lore about Sami is not from IS#4, and that's a near thing I love about HG lore writing Edit: nevermind, that Sami snowpriest isn't known specifically who
Dang, the north needs some handsome red eyed, dark haired duke and a convenient isekai FL to tame these demons… Frost FL confirmed? 😂 (If you don’t know, the red eyed handsome Duke of the North is a staple trope of otome isekai)
Probably the collapsals? I don't even know how can any organic biology can adapt or evolve fast enough to resist reality warping entities especially with memetic powers if the seaborn hive mind can't resist the memetic influence of one instance of a collapsal then if one seaborn gets infected with the meme then it's all over.
@@FABKlNG Hmm, after a quick research, it seems that any pronunciation is acceptable. I had been saying it "keh-ter" for a long time before someone said "Keter rhymes with Peter", and that one ended up stuck with me since.
