北野坂は、神戸市中央区に位置する歴史的な坂道で、神戸の異国情緒を色濃く残す地域です。明治・大正時代に建てられた洋館が並び、その一部は公開異人館として一般に公開されています。これらの建物は、国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区にも選定されています。
動画途中で現れる白い壁に深緑の屋根の趣のある建物は、なんとスターバックス。1907年に建造された木造住宅で、当初米国人が住んでいました。阪神淡路大震災で被害を受けた建物は寄贈を受けた神戸市が部材を保管し、その後、民間事業者によって再建・移転され、現在の場所に設置されたのです。この店舗の内装は当時の建具や家具、インテリアを活かした特別な空間となっています。
Kitanozaka is a historic slope located in the Chūō Ward of Kobe, an area that vividly retains the exotic atmosphere of Kobe. Western-style houses built during the Meiji and Taisho eras line the street, and some of them are open to the public as museums. These buildings have been designated as part of the country’s Important Traditional Building Preservation District.
The charming building with white walls and a deep green roof that appears midway through the video is none other than Starbucks. It was originally a wooden residence built in 1907 and was inhabited by Americans. After suffering damage in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the Kobe city government received the building as a donation and stored its components. Later, it was rebuilt and relocated by a private enterprise and placed in its current location. The interior of this store has been turned into a special space that makes the most of the original fittings, furniture, and interior design from that time.
