guys is it worth it to play as vergil with that code to get him early and not be able to play as dante and lose my progress i made it to mission 9 and i got swordsmaster level 2
for me, the only true Vergil is from dmc3. Its movement is clean and unique. From dmc4 onwards, his movement became desperate and amateurish, no longer majestic, decisive and direct as in 3
@@inominado1975have you ever thought that *maybe* Vergil used to move like a very well polished *brick* and now he's a bottle of smooth liquid silver? Young Vergil had grace in terms of being quick: swing, cut, kill. Because he never fought hordes of enemies in DMC3, his opponents were rare single demons and (amateur) Dante. After he fell into Hell, he not only grew up to realize that dueling isn't possible when you're trying to eradicate A LOT of enemies to gain power (aka became more realistic in his approach) but also started growing a bit like Dante - he styles more often despite retaining efficiency, and both these things increase his efficiency (reflected in Concentration being his main mechanic) He grew as a character and it shows
@@jpjfrey5673 Dude, forgive me but you're trying to justify a nerf. It's already cliché that someone who has trained a lot in a martial art or anything else can do it smoothly, with control and mastery. If you want to say that the moves were adapted in the game to hit more enemies, that's fine, but in a story sense, it's a decline.
I think rhe reason dt changes with weapons is because of how little mastery of it both dante and vergil had, since they now have the mastery complete it doesnt change, also all this might be cause they were lazy to come up with changes for a literal motorbike but ye
@Vergil_Tuga the DT for the motorcycle would have been so rad though, let's be honest. It just was a little detail that was nice. I get why they don't anymore, still miss it though
@@dadecalder7796 i mean you if rlly want the DT that changes you got dmc4 with vergil, his DT still changes only with beowulf but it changes, as for dante i have no idea
Vergil in this game is criminally underrated. Even though he's no where good as dmc5 vergil and dmc4 vergil, I loved playing as him in this game even if he lacks a few things.
In the final boss fight... Vergil has like an ultimate judgement cut that trails and follows you and a looping super helm breaker...Can only the CPU controlled stage version perform the moves described????
Yes. You can replicate helm breaker loop however, just spam upper teleport into it. You won't be teleported as high as the boss, but will do helm breaker just fine still. UPD: You can do it only 4 times before he starts to parry, and you can teleport very high if you jump beforehand.
@@master_of_glaives yeah but in dmc 3 is was a far longer combo where he switched between both and at the end he does the coolest sheath animation, combo b is just him swinging a lot i like it, but i prefer the old one
The biggest problem with Vergil’s moveset imo is that you don’t have a double jump or good dodge until you unlock trick up and trick down and even they are questionable
Yeah, before DMC4 the whole concept of Yamato was that it was his slowest but most punishing weapon while Force Edge was his fastest, but they realized that didn't really make thematic sense so now Yamato is his fastest and Force Edge is just kinda for combo sauce.
lol everything feels sl slow, like not vergil really like. DMC4 Vergil is way faster and powerful and DMC4 Vergil plays before DMC3. But yeah it's a PS2 I get it. PS3 and PS4 is of course more powerful and can produce better special effects and so on. I know. Its their first work on this character so it makes all sense.
I think it's because in DMC 3 SE the devs didn't have that big of an idea what to do with Vergil, his moveset is overall limited having only one combo on each weapon and a few special attacks. So they didn't think to make him this mobile and quick character
Eu sei q vc n vai entender esse comentário, mas é, basicamente tu segura o botão triângulo, dps mira em algum inimigo, e aperta o o analógico pra trás e o outro pra frente
Nelo Angelo in fact is other version of Vergil, but more like a Alter Ego, after he was defeated by Dante in DMC3 and decided to stay in the underworld, he was found by Mundus (Main antagonist of DMC1, killer of Dante and Vergil's mom and worst enemy of Sparda) Vergil tries to fight to him (thinking that his father was cappable of defeat the emperor of underworld, he can too) unfortunally because the damage of his fight with Dante , Vergil loses and Mundus decided to use him like a slave, torturing his mind and changing his body to become him in the perfect warrior with the only propoise to kill Dante and eliminate the Sparda bloodline to conquer the world, the first version of that warrior was Gilver (another alter ego of Vergil) this one lose to Dante, because that, Mundus upgraded him to make Vergil more stronger, in result he become in the perfect warrior of Mundus, Nelo Angelo, the dark angel based in the Proto Angelos designs of DMC5
@@RandomGameClips27 It's a character from the DMC Novel, it was written when the only game was DMC 1 so there are a few inconsistencies and retcons overall but it's very much canon. Gilver was a mercenary with a bandaged face that used a Katana and at the end of the novel when Dante kills him he is revealed to be in fact, Vergil. This was retconned so that Gilver is a clone made in Vergil's image using Dante's and Vergil's battle data (this was before Vergil was captured and turned into Nelo Angelo because the DMC Novel happens before DMC 3 and the DMC 3 manga). Also Nico's grandmother, the 45 caliber master appears in this novel. Her name is Nell Goldstein and she's the creator of Ebony and Ivory
