woahh, that was a very interesting explanation and theory, i've finally realized after seeing naked cosmonauts and start to think this is probably the reason why humanity didn't launch their nukes in EDF5 and more become clearer in EDF6. thank you for the video, EDF! EDF! EDF! EDF!!!!
This is also the conclusion that I came to after seeing a playthrough of this DLC. The Primers were experimenting with the giant bugs and seeing which ones are more effective in the long run. A lot of the bugs that they sent in this DLC, are stronger and more dangerous than the ones we see in EDF5. However, these bugs came with serious drawbacks which made the Primers switch to the weaker but more versatile bugs that we see in EDF5. Also we can see the Cosmonauts struggling with the pollution in this DLC which begs the question, why did they send 5000 humanoid aliens to attack Beijing during the events of EDF5? The Primers already knew that they are weak to pollution by then. We can assume that in later timelines after the first, humanity still ends up using nukes (though less and less, also it's mentioned in EDF5 that they use tactical nukes to down 1 transport ship) as the Primers need to find out the locations of the nuclear launch sites so they can counter them in a later timeline. It's also interesting that this timeline is the one that humanity gets cornered the fastest. The one with the fastest progress (in the eyes of the Primers) but also the one with the least desirable result.
Thanks for watching! One thing to consider about the humanoid aliens (Colonists) is that we don't see them in EDF6 DLC1, so they might have been brought in later down the line. The most logical conclusion as to why they sent the Colonists to Beijing even though they were weak to pollution is either the Primers didn't know they were weak to pollution (since we don't know how much they were used in the other timelines) or they were just used as expendable forces. Overall, the fact that the Primal types caused things to snowball into chaos was probably the reason the Primers probably decided to ultimately stop using them altogether.
I thought the whole thing was about getting the ants to learn how to breed quickly since they were developed to be detergent and clean up the polluted planet. The Primers were too successful and the planet got glassed. They had to scale it down so it wouldn't happen, but still be a fair fight, so the primals were not used until Brofessor kept upgrading EDF weapons.
Thanks for watching! The important part is that the ants breeding underground is helpful in terms of both cleaning up the planet and preventing the planet from being glassed. So their plan is not necessarily scaling down the attack, but rather creating a situation where humanity can't find a easy solution to the monsters reproducing.
o, I thought the naked cosmonauts were clones made to used to overwhelm the edf so that's why they don't have suits because their too many and not enough equipment to armed them.
Thanks for watching! That may have been possible if the naked cosmonauts appeared in more stages. But considering that they only appear in smaller numbers compared to the armored ones in the later timelines, it's probably that they weren't prepared to operate in Earth's environment.
