Streaming a bunch of games on Twitch. Currently just posting VODs, and don't really have any plans of making other content as of now. I speak both English and Japanese, so both comments are welcome!
TBF the decision to get political figures and influencers to advocate for EDF would convince top scientists to join up because that gives them incentives to do so, also the research into how to make monsters edible is a huge undertaking and would also be key to victory.
It's weird to me that the convert setup partially fixes the delay they introduced to nerf Fencer mobility. (to be fair, including Dashes and Jumps in gear itself was a nice idea.)
Regarding the downside, it's mentioned that you get "fewer" dashes and jumps by using the convertible boosters. But the footage shows four dashes and four jumps in all instances: EDF5, EDF6 normal and EDF6 convertible. Are there some hard numbers for this downside?
I'm going to be honest. The professor saying it's the 6th time he tried to contact you probably just means he tried to get in contact with him 6 times.... not six timelines.
Storm One can be seen as an anomaly which destroys everything every building You destroy is with somekind of purpose now, every unorthodox strategy You might've used is Canon now.
Akatsuki-san! i just remembered that EDF6 will release globally in spring so about March to May! So that means EDF6 might be released in the same month as my birthday! Let's go!!
Now I'm kinda hoping we get an EDF animated short or some other media further diving into the story of EDF as a whole and its struggle against the alien. This was great explanation, now I'm so hyped to get my hands on EDF 6!!!
Thanks for watching! One thing I do want to see is some sort of media is the "war" they were talking about when introducing the Grim Reapers. Excited for the global release so I could play some multiplayer!
@jinhong91 From what I tested, there doesn't seem to be a huge difference in the amount of cooldown it takes, but the reason it seems that the EDF6 fencer doesn't have a pause is probably because of the difference between the number of boosts and number of dashes. In EDF5, the maximum difference you get when equipping the best dash cell and add booster is 2 (two more dashes than jumps), which doesn't provide enough time for the jumps to recover while dashing. However, since in EDF6 the difference is 5, you have enough time to recover your jumps while dashing, which allows fencer to semi-infinitely move without having to completely stop. Hope this helps!
This is also the conclusion that I came to after seeing a playthrough of this DLC. The Primers were experimenting with the giant bugs and seeing which ones are more effective in the long run. A lot of the bugs that they sent in this DLC, are stronger and more dangerous than the ones we see in EDF5. However, these bugs came with serious drawbacks which made the Primers switch to the weaker but more versatile bugs that we see in EDF5. Also we can see the Cosmonauts struggling with the pollution in this DLC which begs the question, why did they send 5000 humanoid aliens to attack Beijing during the events of EDF5? The Primers already knew that they are weak to pollution by then. We can assume that in later timelines after the first, humanity still ends up using nukes (though less and less, also it's mentioned in EDF5 that they use tactical nukes to down 1 transport ship) as the Primers need to find out the locations of the nuclear launch sites so they can counter them in a later timeline. It's also interesting that this timeline is the one that humanity gets cornered the fastest. The one with the fastest progress (in the eyes of the Primers) but also the one with the least desirable result.
Thanks for watching! One thing to consider about the humanoid aliens (Colonists) is that we don't see them in EDF6 DLC1, so they might have been brought in later down the line. The most logical conclusion as to why they sent the Colonists to Beijing even though they were weak to pollution is either the Primers didn't know they were weak to pollution (since we don't know how much they were used in the other timelines) or they were just used as expendable forces. Overall, the fact that the Primal types caused things to snowball into chaos was probably the reason the Primers probably decided to ultimately stop using them altogether.
what if storm 1 is actually the protagonist from every game and him constantly time traveling has caused Earths invasions to be different every time let me quote a certain speedster "you break the sound barrier you get a sonic boom, Break the time barrier time boom" he keeps time traveling and each game is a just another timeline.
Thanks for watching! To be honest, Storm One is one step ahead of both of them in that they don't have any direct modifications made to their body (at least as far as we know). EDF headquarters did get one kill off of them though, which is ironic.
A crazy theory I heard is that the previous EDF games like 2017/EDF 3 and 2025/EDF 4 are previous timelines that the Ravagers/Primers have failed in their invasions that they're constantly time travelling to change, with EDF 5 and 6 being the current timeline(s)
Thanks for watching! That is a plausible theory, considering that we do know that there are timelines that Storm One and the Professor do not have memories of (DLC 1). However, my personal canon is that the Ravagers and the Primers are completely different entities do to the fact that they have different names, even though they kept the names of the monsters consistent in all of the timelines.
Thanks for watching! The more you think of what the Professor experienced, the more you realize how much shit he went through and the amount of mental fortitude that he had to have to maintain his sanity. Absolute madness.
Thanks for watching! No, the scientist lady from 5 is still there, the Professor is a brand new character that exists basically to move the story behind the scenes.
From the looks of it, it seems to be an English release in Asia, so people in the US might have to buy a physical copy in order to play it. Also not having the PC version not being announced is a bit of a bummer, but having an English versions is still one big step forward.
Thanks for watching! Sadly that doesn't seem to be the case, since the EDF3/4 timeline is completely different from the EDF5/6 timeline (with completely different backstories for the EDF).
6:45 in EDF 6 Mission 117, the EDF soldiers quickly change from "We're doomed" to "Don't let the civilian die!" as soon as Storm-One starts taking matters in their hands. And that's one of my favorite moments in the series.
Thanks for watching! It definitely is a scene that shows Storm One as a symbol of hope for the EDF. It especially feels special because we know how things were supposed to turn out in EDF5.
