The entire cast were phenomenal and I still can't let them go. I watch this series on average twice a month. When you have the right cast beautiful leads who know how to act a fabulous director magic happens. Two more series I can not let go are who rules the world. Princess Agents and Royal Rumours and My girlfriend is an alien. I have all these on DVD. Still waiting for part 2 of Princess Agents

這位中年男演員光台詞就完勝吳磊，一個是古代人說著日常對話(說話自然但稍顯跳脫不像皇帝)，一個是現代男演員念著台詞。 古偶現偶都是資深好演員在給年輕流量抬轎的模式，看了很為這些好演員不值。

I really can't believe how much he dotes on Zisheng so much. He cares about him more than his children from the Empress and the consort Yue. These are Royal lineage children not just run of the mill. These are special and they should be shown more consideration, but because of General Hua and who he was in this Not Zishen Uncle but FATHER! that makes it just as Important as anything else in this story line.

Loved his character! Great drama.

CUS I CRY A LOT😭😭😭I NEVER HAD A BIG PAIN BUT THIS GIVE ME A BIG PAIN, I laugh BUT CRY MORE AND MY HEART WAS SO MUCH HURT AND IN PEACE THAN I COULD NOT LOVE like before, my view about love change, cus I realize how much the pain from love can be strong and so 😭. the actress and actors take it so seriously and they give me so much the power and feelings. And for the productions team, writers and all employees. I say thank you, my big respect but also don't do this anymore, my heart is not strong than I thought. Good ending, seriously that so powerful and wow I have no words but I love you all.

I like 80% of this series but what I do not understand is why they always blame Sheng Shaosheng for not knowing the "rules" of etiquette?? She has not been taught by her parents and they still haven't really taught her, so what is she to do?!?! And her Mother is horrible!!! Who want to learn anything from her or even interact with her?? She only scolds Shaosheng for her own failings.

Many times the subtitles and original dialogues overlap. Though we can follow the trend of the story we don't get the benefit of the dialogues. Is this a technical issue? Can it be set right?
