The pugilist world is ruled by the powerful Wen clan, which dominates over the smaller Lan, Jiang, Nie and Jin households. The carefree Wei Wuxian becomes fast friends with the righteous Lan Wangji, and during their adventures, the pair find out that the head of the Wen clan is the evil mastermind behind a series of plots that would wreak havoc upon the lands.
Wei Wuxian’s attempts to protect the innocent members of the Wen clan from unfair persecution leads to disaster, and he goes MIA in the process. Wei Wuxian reappears sixteen years later, and works together with good friend Lan Wangji to solve a series of murder mysteries, eventually finding and defeating the true culprit. Based on the Moxiang Tongxiu's novel Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.

I think the real tragedy in Mdzs is the lack of communication before the the death of Wei Wuxian. Just a lot of things happened due to no one talking about the things they needed to talk about.

There's difference of this scene compared to the novel! In the series they actually bow 3x which in Chinese culture it's official bow for marriage! While in novel, they only bow 2x with wwx ask for blessing and prayed to protect lwj and promise to return again to give the 3rd bow in the future. My heart 😭

I know this is supposed to be one of the most sad/climatic/hurtful moments of the story, but I really LOVE this scene, because it is one of the moments when the relationship between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying is addressed almost explicitly, “I insulted your GREAT friendship”, he is basically mocking them for being in love. I dropped my jaw when I watched this scene for the first time.

In the Novel JC actually witnesses their moment under a tree. He realises that their friendship is not one of friends or brothers but the romantic kind. So when he finds them here he initially gets pissed 'cause he considers both as unwelcomed guests and he ends up saying some nasty things dragging Lan Zhan in to the argument. Obviously Wei Wuxian gets pissed and asks him to apologise. This pisses JC even more and he begins questioning them about their relationship. For those who are interested ( From the Novel): Wei WuXian was holding something back, “Jiang WanYin, you… apologize right now.” Jiang Cheng mocked, “Apologize? For what? For exposing your thing for each other?”

I think Jiang Cheng acts so much like his mother, and i kind of understand him, i mean, she was so fierce and strong until the end!! But yeah he has a sharp tonge XD Also WWX and LWJ protecting each other is so beautiful to see, this scene is so sad but i think is so important too. OMG I miss them so bad!!!! Thank you so much for giving us this wonderful series, I already saw it about 7 times and I don't get tired of it lol i can't move on :'D

As sad as this scene is, I still love it (just like the rain scene when Wei Ying left with the Wen Clan). The way both Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian protect each other is just so sweet and touching, and Jiang Cheng expressing all his angered against the couple was something really hurting but also something that soon or later it had to happen (come on people, he is human after all and his life wasn't easy either). This was another wonderful perform from the team.

I can't forget about this magnificent drama ❤️ This scene revealed the pain that everyone of them lived JC sacrificed himself for his brother and sister and now he finds out that WY's sacrifice for him is much more greater what a relationship they have 😍 LWJ descover finally the secret behind WY's stubborn behaviour 😭 That's a lot of pain for one scene it's the best in the whole drama ❤️❤️❤️

Tbh, up until today, I still can't relate with people who dislike JC. I mean, if those people alr read the novel, watched the donghua & drama, my big question is "How come?" When I 1st watch the drama, JC alr looking like the villain. But, throughout the drama I can't help from fallen for him since he's gone through a lot too. I know that some point, he can be annoying but,well, that's his character😅

Exactly my point...people be going around saying JC thus and JC that..a hurt person is what JC is. Throughout his youth he was compared and belittled by his parents and peers, and he could've sabotaged WY'S life, but he didn't. And yeah he did selfish stuff, he didn't take a stand for WY, but that doesn't make his sacrifice any less from WY'S. He'll continue living like he wronged the people close to him, because he's so used to it..Never did anyone tell him it's okay to feel that way, that it makes hum human, NO. He was hurt then, he's hurt now, and he'll continue to feel that way for life.. Sorry for the rant!

Not like they don't loves JC but their affection it's too clear for WY...I understand that perhaps they doing it naturally because they don't want WY feel like some out sider (plus Mdm.Yu always calls WY as the servant son). But, sometimes I think they forgot that they have JC too. They like "Oh, it's ok. JC would understand why we doing this." Ofc he understand because he love WY too (even if he can't help but hurt from all of it at the same time). Still, like you said, there's no one to tell him that it's ok to feel this way or that way. First, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan get married. Second, they defend each other readily. THEY ARE SO ROMANTIC 😍 Third, Jiang Chang misunderstood wei wuxian greatly and insults Waxian. Fourth, Wen Ning clarifies the misunderstanding and supports childe wei.

for those who have not read the book (you're missing out) this is what wwx is thinking while lwj and him are prostrating: "The two of them kneeled among rows of tablets and bowed down to Jiang FengMian and Yu ZiYuan’s names together. Once. Twice. The movements were exactly the same. Wei WuXian, “That’s it.” He finally placed the incense into the tripod. In the end, Wei WuXian glanced at Lan WangJi, who’s kneeling as properly as ever beside him. He put his hands together and uttered in his heart, ‘Uncle Jiang, Madam Yu, it’s me again. I’m here to disturb you two again. But I really did want to bring him here and show him to you. Let the two prostrates we just did count as prostrating* to the Heavens and the Earth, and to the Father and the Mother. Please help me reserve the person beside me for now. Die Beste Serie, die ich je gesehen habe. Top Besetzung, wunderschöne Costüme und tolle Kampfszenen. Die Musik ist ebenfalls fantastisch. Ich habe noch nie solche Verbundenheit bei Hauptdarstellern gesehen, wie in dieser Serie. Ich kann nicht aufhören, alles was auf RU-vid, über The Untamed und deren Darstellern gezeigt wird (Behind the Scene), anzuschauen. Am Besten gefällt mir Xia Zhan. Ich habe noch nie einen Menschen mit so einer Ausstrahlung und einem inneren Leuchten gesehen. Sein Lächeln ist einfach wundervoll. Ich hoffe das er und auch Wang Yibo auch weiterhin gemeinsam vor der Kamera und in der Öffentlichkeit zu sehen! Hoffentlich gibt es eine Fortsetzung! !!🇩🇪

Thank you to all commenters who include inputs from the novel. It helps me understand and enjoy more the story. Tho the series itself without the parts from the novel, still communicated their sentiments of care and loyalty to each other, which is why it is so touching for me. Re JC's character, he has always played a tough love role with WWX with harsh words and all; however, if the reason to be used to explain his bad behavior in this scene is his experience growing up with his parents... The same reasons and more were used to explain the villainous characters of Jin Guangyao and Xue Yang... which is over the top. The harshness of their life may be different but still...

Idk why ppl hate jc it's not his fault he was just a normal boy not the superhero type he was like anyone of us would've been. Our family is our first priority. This boi lost his mum dad and clan at a tender age, he rebuilt the clan found his best friend got his sister married fought in the war. Till the very end he tried his best to warn wwx . After everything he had the responsibility to take care of his one month nephew. U just can't blame him under any circumstances.

@@swasti6906 exactly we can't blame anyone all of them have their shares. The world fucked all of them up but Wuxian was used as a punching bag for everyone's frustration. He just wanted to help the helpless, repay the kindness he received but people had to frame him into this bad person. Jiang Cheng too, he gave up his golden core for xian. Madam yu has already harmed their relationship so much, formed this inferiority complex within Jiang Cheng and people used it him and xian. The entire cultivation world used wei wuxian as their punching bag.

I hope the fandoms would be more understanding, XZ's fans too. Hope these two parties learn a lot from what happened two XZ earlier this year. He was treated cruelly for what he did not do, for something which is under his control. Hope we learn a lot and be more mature fans too.

I cant hate jian cheng cause i know most of the stuffs he does is because of his family influence, especially his relationship with wwx, madam yu and jf using wwx and jc as their war toys , pinning them against each other instead of acting like adults and leaving the kids alone but i cant like him even when he knew the truth he still treated wwx like sht because of his pride, blaming wwx for what happened in lotus pier and afterwards as if it wasnt the wen's fault there are times wwx did deserved to be treated harshly but this scene? knowing jgy probably plan everything and is the real villain? in the novel his rant was even worse including lwj simply because he was present and couldnt stand the fact that someone wasnt repulse to be with wwx. Once he find out wwx gave him his golden core how he started acting all defensive when wwx ask him for nothing, how he kept screaming at jin ling when jin ling only wanted to help? your own nephew really? that was my trigger point DO NOT TOUCH JIN LING no fam go to therapy and fix your sht. I do appreciate some moments with him, when yanli was alive mostly. I hope in the future he learned how to let it go. I like his fanon thought, his usual snarl but not in a mean way, I like to think thats hhow future!jian cheng behaves

I realy hate how they change the real novel' s best lv sence in to normal argument. They skip lots of good parts 🥺!!( IN NOVEL)When che Zhang says wws to get lost and don't fool around lotus pier . MESS WITH TREES ( "he meants" che zhang saw WWS in LAN ZHAN's shoulders and hugging eachother) so he say to him like this . And Dont take uninvited people in to lotus pier. After he said to wie yeing I realy miss how LAN ZHAN & WWS react to she zhang .
