FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE store.playstat...
Yeah, really makes me think, actually. A lot of the differences that the Whispers ignore (like this thing showing up way too early) seem to have a lot to do with threats posed to the player. I'm starting to think this whole thing is actually based on the original's Game Over screen as much as it is based on the final end scene. Every time something ruins you in the original, the "master reel" gets messed up... and I guess it's up to the player to fix it, right? Seems like some of the major sources of a lot of Game Overs get a free pass from the Whispers. Rufus is way too different just to be a re-design. Oh, and even though the Whispers will come and start bothering the player characters up front, they just kind of let Sephiroth do whatever the hell he wants then fix it later if they have to. I'm sorry, there's only one other person I can share this with here, and they said "don't mind me" so you're it. ;p
@@Pensive_Scarlet when Shinra first began harvesting Mako for energy, the planet responded to this new endlessly bleeding wound with the Whispers of Fate.. just as it later responds to the Black Materia with the Weapons. As Shinra steals Mako/life energy, the whispers of fate determine how and when living things and people die to fix the balance of stolen energy through death.. Aerith explains this through her own understanding in the Talking with Flowers scene, only she doesn't know what the Big inevitable event is until Corneo says they're dropping the plate.. all the whispers interference up to that point, is about the pillar collapsing to take the lives of thousands to put lifestream and life energy back in balance, and to get Aerith together with Cloud and Tifa.. Jessie needed to be injured, so Cloud could go on the second mission, to fall in the church.. Cloud couldn't kill Reno, because he is needed at the pillar. All changes that occur through the game were ok because it didn't affect the pillar collapsing, or the characters involved in Destiny's path.. But Jenova is not of the planet, so she is not affected by the whispers. Sephiroth/Jenova are like a virus, they infect. So Sephiroth infects the whispers, and steals knowledge throughout time because fate is timeless. Cloud, in viral terms, is a carrier. And he gets random glimpses of future fate because of the Jenova cells in his blood. This is also why Cloud had to be forced away from Aerith in the beginning, and forced to go on the second mission with the whispers injuring Jessie, Jenova isn't bound by fate.. Aerith is an Ancient, and Ancients are definitely not bound by fate.. so the whispers have to force her down the path she takes as well. This much I know for sure, but I'm guessing Marlene is actually an Ancient too
@@TheSonofabiscuit that's a nice theory, but I'd add that the Planet is using the Whispers, not only to balance the forces of life and death to compensate for Shinra converting Lifestream into Mako, but to keep Cloud and the party on their destined paths. The remake's version of Sephiroth seems to know way more than he should at this point in the game. At this point in the original game, he shouldn't even know Cloud and his friends have anything to do with his plans for the Planet, yet from the very beginning of the game, he seems to be interfering with the intent of driving destined events off their tracks. For instance, Cloud was never supposed to be delayed by hallucinations of Sephiroth, and that delay would have caused him to completely miss meeting Aerith, so the Whispers swarmed her, holding her in place long enough for Cloud to arrive. They don't interfere with the Valkyrie fight, Hojo's laboratory, or Sector 5 Mako Reactor preparations is because those deviations wouldn't change the timeline of events. As long as things happen in the proper sequence, exact timings don't matter. They didn't intervene during the first 2 events because Cloud, Barrett, and Tifa were already plenty strong enough by themselves to take on Valkyrie, and the detour through Hojo's lab didn't interfere with their escape from Shinra, as that whole sequence of events wouldn't kick off until Cloud and the party made their way up to Shinra's office. The Whispers only decided to interfere when Avalanche decided to bring Jessie instead of accepting Cloud's demands for a bigger paycheck to blow the second reactor. They injured her, forcing them to hire Cloud back on because otherwise, the Turks would take Aerith and the party would be none the wiser.
@@Meandmyshadowclones everything you said is correct. As for Sephiroths knowledge early on.. he is the initial cause of FF7 Remake. The main point of view comes from the whispers.. my big theory outside of part 1, is that the whispers were ultimately the reason Cloud was able to kill Sephiroth at Nibelheim, it was Sephiroths fate.. but being a product of Jenova, he challenged that fate.. so now picture a cancerous Sephiroth, stealing knowledge of fate throughout time, for the next "5" years.. he learns his fate, Aerith's fate, and anything else he wants to learn through the whispers. Now FF7 Remake starts, and Sephiroth already knows he can't defeat Cloud, meteor doesn't strike, and Cloud can't save Aerith from her chosen fate..
i'd like to think that it's this moment where the three become an incredible team in the game. the trust they have and what they do in this battle to save their skins is simply fantastic
Just an English comment passing by, It's more than likely you're here because you know this track is among the most epic of tracks in an already incredible soundtrack.
Then I recommend you check out the soundtracks to the Ace Combat games. Keiki Kobayashi has been the main composer for them for well over a decade now. (Even though he has been a freelancer since 2014. I can only hope he is still on board for the next Ace Combat.)
The OST Plus that just released in late 2020 has the first minute and 56 seconds as a standalone track! It is called 'Run, Dammit, Run'. I was looking for this for so long! It shows up on the OST plus, disc2, track 16.
Story-wise, it's filler, but mood-wise it fits in so well. After dealing with the aftermath of the plate collapse and side quests related to NPCs in chapter 14, this is the ideal transition to the final mission at Shinra tower. Here, you have only the 3 main heroes climbing up to the plate in the sunset, fighting their way past Shinra soldiers and robots while the beautiful, uplifting heroic themes "Fires of Resistance" and this one play. Perfect to get you motivated for finally taking the fight to Shinra's HQ.
Maeby but personally this is still my favorite chapter in the game, the ambience is just amazing, some of the best soundtracks in the game (fires of resistance is probably the best normal battle theme in my opinion ).
@@AlguienCualquieraDelMundo I agree. As the hero climbs, it is like they are getting from "small ecoterriorist group" (the ground) to something much bigger, and the scenary and music completely represents that. And this soundtrack is just too good to hate lol
Some said that the original FF7 is longer but due to the amount of data they can't fit in VCD / PS1 game they had to cut most of it. So this Remake is almost the same length story as it supposed to. Plus spoiler warning: this is not the "remake", more like continuation from FF7 AC thanks to timeline changes.
Figures the one music theme Keiki Effin Kobayashi would compose for this game is the one for the "high-speed aerial weapon manufactured by Shinra's Advanced Weaponry Division." I wouldn't mind having him compose an arrangement for the Highwind.
Just imagine if SE finds the required combination of brain power and sheer guts to make the Final Fantasy VI remake. A whole epic battle with an actual Air Force, tracked by Ace Combat style remixes of some of Uematsu's most exciting songs. With a whole airship and an unprecedented number of player characters at your disposal, with all the action built on everything learned from FFVIIR, the potential to deliver a AAA experience that lives up to the title of AAA Game is definitely there.
I think this particular song is even more reminiscent of Kobayashi's work on the Soul Calibur games. I listened a bit into the Ace Combat 7 OST today (never played any of the games) and it didn't really remind me of the Valkyrie theme. In fact, there were hardly any battle themes? At least they didn't seem like that or were way less dramatic than this one, but I gotta admit I just zapped through it a bit.
I absolutely love how there's a constant drone in the background throughout this song, made to sound like helicopter blades. Great addition to detail 👌not sure what instrument it's made from, strings? Guitar maybe? Masterful 🙏🎵
Just another English comment passing through to say that Keiki Kobayashi is a musical god and one of the best composers working today. If you want more music of this quality, I recommend "ZERO" from Ace Combat: Zero and both "Daredevil" and "Hush" from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
i cant wait when we get the airship and we have air combat segment (have strong feeling they going to put it in) airship combat in ff7r + ost from the maker of ace combat..... might as well make a spin off ace combat game set in FF7 world central focus is the main branch of avalanche, strong military focus, holy shit it could work lol
Why is this track not fully on the original album? The most hype part of the track is actually at the beginning and it is completely missing out on the OST. :/
