It's been near a year since I finished this game and I miss it, I really wish it was on Xbox, I would love to play through it again on a system I own instead of having to borrow a PS4 again.
I think that one of the really cool parts about this boss fight is the way that the boss changes combat modes and says its threat level keeps rising to the awesome music that feels like it is also rising in intensity.
What's most funny of it is that the Arsenal, such a threatening and relentless machine, has a female voice. The combat system of this game including bosses is perfect
The last 3 chapters of this game nailed almost everything I'd expect of a remake. I hope the sequel looks more to this and improves on the pacing of the town and exploration areas.
@@Bcap222 I didn't mind the Whisperer dimension. You guys gotta understand FF7 Remake is a reboot, not a legit remake like the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy
@@Bcap222 nah I love it. It means the narrative of the rest of the game doesnt have to be the same. I mean, I fully believe aerith will die, but the whispers wont be able to ensure it happens in this games universe. Things can change and things can lead to different outcomes. That was the point. Also, like, that final battle was awesome?
"So undignified but I suppose I could take one for the team, I'm sure my pride can at least handle some indignity for this particular situation" - Which i think he would say anyway
Right here was when I fully opened my heart up to aerith and Barrot. The music was phenomenal and I felt like I was there with those two. It was my first time playing this game ever, so I’m a new proud fan.
Because she retains knowledge of the original timeline and knows he's the key to killing sephiroth. She's indirectly pushing him to kill sephiroth based on preexisting knowledge
Its funny you say that bc Aerith has the defense of a dandelion and the speed of a tortoise. I love her, but I always groan when I have to include her in a fight, because she's so hard to keep alive and deal damage consecutively.
This boss battle was tough, the battle dragged on for too long where all of my pillars were destroyed so I could not escape the OHK attacks. What makes this fight fun is that we have to figure out the mechanics (similar to raids) and time the attacks to maximize stagger time. That last stand phase was also thriller!
Yeah it could have been a preview of how Yuffie and Sonon would work. I wonder whether the Integrade update will made Red XIII playable in some capacity
I struggled hard going into this fight on hard mode. I think I blew too much MP on Aerith in the Jenova fight going into it. Took me a good 20 tries to get this boss down. Loved the challenge though.
I was always too distracted (you know, by the noises and situations *fighting The Arsenal!)* to notice this was a different "Those Who Fight Further"-based arrangement than the Airbuster battle used. The earliest phase actually sounds like a more complete adaptation of the original melody than that. None of the background aspects are washed out.
Upon the second playthrough this boss wasn't as hard and frustrating as my first time which was in July or August. But still my blood was still boiling then once I beat this boss I collapsed because it took so much energy out of me. This was more intense than motorball if I'd be honest. Motorball wasn't that hard the first time... funny because Angry Joe hated that boss but to me Motorball wasn't as much of a pain and stress inducing as the Arsenal
I think this fight got copyright claimed in the playthrough I'm watching. A shame, the music is great. I would love to see a good analysis of the themes and motifs and stuff of the remake's music.
I'm telling y'all just for this one fight we play red 13. His hp bar appears under barrett's or aerith bar and you can take control of him have access of his materia equipped and use his limit break. Give us a taste if how our 4 legged dog boah will play.
I get why they left him out. He is barely in the narrative and would have felt tacked on. And I think they wanted to hold something back to build hype for Part 2
@@LicoriceLain he didn't even have to be 100% like a beta version of the boi. Just only for this fight so we can be satisfied that we got a chance to play him even for a little bit and not have to wait till part 2.
I reckon they could have included him and was possibly even ready, but when you think about the next game, unless they add new playable characters, or make Yuffie a certain encounter early on, we'd be waiting until the gold saucer for a new playable character if RedXIII was playable in this, which probably didnt sit well with their plans
What I hope, is that after part 2 comes out, part 1 gets updated to allow Red XIII to be playable. What i don't get is how they're going to link the games and progress...
@@Invertedzero oh without a doubt. They said in part 2 he will be playable and be playable like the others. Access to his limit break abilities materia etc.
