@Emilio Italico Well, we gotta wait for the character materials to tells us how much they based off from the actual novels while designing Quixote. And, well, Quixote in the 2nd part of the story accepting his delusions, and that he wasn't an actual knight before dying, so seeing him chilling now, and with all the context from LB 6.5, it's just overall a pretty FA regardless of what the intention was behind it.

I think in part of his history that evolves around him perceiving reality and losting the glamour of his dream

he gives his power of dreams and fantasy to the world around him as his delusions slowly leave him, quoting the book "doing more to make the world a better place in his madness than what he could ever achieve while being sane"

I think it's a reference to how eventually Quixote returns to his sanity, and how Sancho eventually becomes a great knight himself.

@@gerryanputra7217 I don't know the exact reference, but at the end of parte 2, Cervantes kills Don Quijote. The short version is that some dude made a fake sequel, it was a mockery of the first book and Cervantes was ANGRY, he blamed Lope de Vega (famous theater writer one of the big four in the golden age of literacy, the other being Cervantes, Gongora y Quevedo), well it wasn't Lope, but Cervantes was so pissed that he basically wrote that book with spite, explicitly mocking that fanfic and killing off Don Quijote to make sure there would be no more shitty fanfics after his death. The story basically goes that his friends were scared he would get himself killed, so they made up a knight to fight him so he would stop, the first one lost and then later came the second one, the duel was simple, if Don Quijote wins, he gets to keep being a knight, if he loses he has to give up on it, well Quijote loses, and being a knight, he honors his agreement and lays down his arms, one year later he stops being crazy and dies, his friends legit burned all his fantasy books so he would be normal, except Galatea (a book Cervantes wrote, saying how it was amazing and couldn't be burned, Cervantes, self-promoting his own works since the 17th century), well it basically goes full circle, he starts sane, reads books, goes crazy, becomes a knight, stops reading books, gets sane again, dies of the cringe that is life. Cervantes didn't want to kill him, but that fanfic really annoyed him so he decided that there were no more stories, not even side stories as that would conflict with canon

@@asix_knight It's more to symbolise that Don Quixote is shedding his delusions of being a knight and coming to terms with the harsh reality of what he really is, which is why his armour gets more and more beat up. Meanwhile, Sancho changes appearance to reflect her primarily representing a different person from Don Quixote's legend, while also getting more flashy dresses to show that despite the reality he's facing, Quixote's imagination is still bright and he can still aspire to be a true knight, with Sancho supporting him every step of the way.

I think this is fine, considering this is Don Quixote when read idealistically/romantically. A man who fought for chivalry and honor in a world that had none. I imagine his berserker class form would be far more accurate to his original description, since it would be representing Don Quixote as how the author initially made him, which would be far more cynical. He probably wouldn't have Sancho with him in that class either.

@@JoshuaDMarti While they aren't always accurate, I feel Fate usually tries to reference or respect the original work or person in a meaningful way (if they aren't a gag character). The character Tesla for example. He was obviously not a mad scientist who could shoot lightning from his fingers in real life, but Fate acknowledges his genius and his feats of harnessing electrcity. Even most genderbends like king arthur have some explanation behind them and a bit of character depth. While not accurate, it's still at least somwhat respectful.

@@blurb9319 so is Don Quijote's representation in Fate. If you actually read onto it and learn about his Fate version then you would know it's quite nice. Not trying to sound like a jerk which I now realize I might have but you get what I mean, hopefully.

I mean, it's because of the Dulcinea part of the amalgamation that "Sancho" is beautiful

She's a composite entity who embodies all of the other characters in the book, so Dulcinea is also a part of her.

Tbf El Cid already appeared briefly in Fate/Requiem but was killed by another servant

El Cid cameos in Fate/Requiem so maybe someday Jacques de Molay also started as a cameo in Requiem and he got in GO eventually

Locked until you finish the latest LB in the JP version, then he’s added to the general pool. The LB release banner also features him I think.

@@Gabe-sp8ml Si, Quixote Si es un servant genuino y no tiene nada añadido, pero "Sancho" son muchos phantoms, espíritus muy débiles que ni siquiera calificarían como servant, así que se mezclaron para generar suficiente poder para materializarse junto a Quixote.

Sancho Panza (a young servant and quite fat man, also Panza = Belly) was a servant taking the role of squire for his lord Alonso Quijano in the time of his chilvary madness of trips, following the flow and taking care of his lord, Rocinante was the horse of Quijano, and Dulcinea del Toboso was the Maiden in reasons for his travels...,well dulcinea didin't was real, just a Servant Maiden with good look in the neighborhood villa, without those 3 Alonso couldn't have made his travels, so having those 3 in 1 entity have quite the sense....,but is still weird, but considering the craziness and madness of el quijote, it's ok
