“So we’re just adding this boss to fill out the story arc of the train graveyard. It should be intense but don’t go overboard.” *spills final boss sauce into the mix*
That's pretty much every boss in this game. "Alright, we've got this filler boss against a big robot before the Reactor 5 part which has literally zero plot significance. A remix of the normal battle theme should do." *Proceeds to make what is basically the most epic remix of Let the Battles Begin ever, which could easily pass as a final bosss theme*
The FF7 remake has some of the best music in the history of gaming. Half of the soundtrack would be in the top 100 of all time. This is probably the best of the bunch.
And people wonder why it took so long to release and why it's taking so long for p2. Because Square doesn't fuck around! Not intentionally haha I mean they re-released an entire game cuz it sucked... that says something...
There are no bad tracks in FF7 remake. Reminds of Nier Automata. Every piece of music is just awesome and memorable. These Japanese composers are freaking musical geniuses.
Ghoul: Fight against a spectral being that simply wants to play, which causes poltergeists. Abzu: Rematch against the pet of a depraved don that tries to flood you in sewage...and get revenge for its kin. Leviathan: Fight against the lordess of the seas, who can fly. Yep, these are fitting as hell.
I swear when this second phase of the song hit, i was like OH MY GAWWWDDD!!!!! And then during the moment the frist phase transitioned to the second it got me saying, "oh shit, this is serious" especially at the fact that when I first fought this boss. I didnt understand how to properly fight the Ghoul but now i do, it caught me by surprise that this song also plays when you fight Abzu the 2nd time
This song isn't even part of the original game's lineup and it absolutely fits in. It's a soaring, empowering and driving melody that makes you feel like you're forced to fight despite your every instinct screaming FLIGHT! You only have one choice, and it's to overcome.
This is the track i keep coming back to. The track that makes the goosebumps of excitement pop up on my arms. Love this track so much. Epic boss fight music.
I love how the fights become a dance to these insane themes. I've played so many party based rpgs and not 1 of them comes close making the characters feel like a real team like remake does in these boss fights. This is the best on the Soundtrack. Goosebumps just listening and it's better in game.
Just remember this plays on the second half of ghoul's fight, a boss made up of many spirits of the children who were killed and their souls trapped in the train graveyard. This boss fight was just them trying to play with you. The song will now feel much more emotional to you now knowing that
A year late, but it does not. Devil's Advocate (or perhaps Eligor's Advocate?), I really struggled with Ghoul. It was a particularly annoying boss to fight. Soundtrack is a 1000% banger, but fuck that boss, haha. Am I glad those kids are dead? No. But if they are this much of a shit in death, they can't have been the nicest kids in life either.
God this theme is just purely amazing, definitely fitting for the Ghoul boss fight, showing off the intensity of this playful dreadful ghost, nicely done with the timing at 3:30, really fits well with how chaotic the theme goes with the fight.

Fought Abzu jesterday, the music got me so pumped, wish it never ended. This game doesnt just port the classic FF7 music over perfectly, it ads new ones and IMO has the most epic OST period!
For those who play D&D, this is perfect music for the madness that should be involved in a Hag encounter: Animated objects running around, minions everywhere, the Hag herself throwing god knows what in her cauldron to add to the chaos, etc. Love this track,
I'm torn on this, because after playing through the somewhat slow and calm train graveyard section, you suddenly start this battle and this OST kicks and the moment is brought from ok side content to a truly epic battle. At the same time, had this been used during a more signifcant boss battle and cutscene it would have been potentially even more epic. I hope they remix it or take elements from it for another boss battle in FFVII Rebirth.
@@FreeFlow__ don't know how you got to that conclusion. Maybe ds2 argument could be made. But bloodborne is a musical masterpiece. Hell Sony even paid to have a live orchestra do all of the music. But hey everyone has their own tastes. To each their own my friend.

Man I'be been listening to this almost every day ever since I heard it in game. Most epic moment I ever had was when fighting Abzu the second time. Him getting pretty low on health and the music ramping up as I unleash Ascension and landing the final upperslash and finishing him off in perfect sync with the climax of the song. This is the best boss OST I've ever heard!
Perfection doesn't exist, but considering the enormous hype for this remake, which was almost a legend (and kinda still is, since they Haven't finished yet), I'd say they did great
@@lucasperez253 this kind of theme should’ve been for armored xehanort. I do enjoy what we got but to think it wasn’t yoko who composed it is kinda underwhelming. Could’ve been so much better
Jaw was the floor the first time i heard this theme man. I was fighting with my mouth open. This theme could argue for top 5 of Remake's OST. Def top 10
Dude this theme song is so damn epic I thought it was a bit too over the top for a fight with a monster in a sewer. This could easily be the theme for the epic final boss of any other game.
I swear it still comes back to me when I listen to this how incredible Final Fantasy is despite its name its SUCH an Epic game Sephiroth brings it home so hard when you meet him in the flames..
I saw this comment and for like the last two weeks I thought you were full of crap and being one of THOSE fans... if you get what I mean. But earlier I finally heard it and was like "Oh my god I'm such a failure" But in my defense, its hard to notice until they put the vocals together at the end, and while I definitely agree that its there, its not exactly the same. Its missing a syllable. Plus FF X was great and all that, but not really one of my favorites, so it just went right over my head. So yeah, good ear

No joke, this is why I love FF7. The ONLY reason a game like this even exists at all is because the OG game was the absolute best of its time. It appears that the seventh Final Fantasy is yet unfinished. So let us rejoice... for whatever the journey may bring, can never be forgotten, nor repeated. At last, the promise is being fulfilled.
been playing RPGS's since I was 5 years old. I've never seen so many great themes in a single game. This soundtrack is one of the best of the recent games dropped.
This theme is that good it goes well with almost every intense boss out there. Not just bosses either. Was playing Monster Hunter with this playing against a powerful Elder Dragon. Theme fits way to perfectly.
Very few boss battles managed to put me on such emotional rollercoaster like this one. Hades in FFXIV comes to mind. Music does such a beautiful things to our dummy brainies.
I heard this OST today while fighting the Ghoul and... Holy shit! This is so epic! It substantially improved an already great fight. Spent 40€ on FF7R and it has been worth it.
I hope to god this is brought back for some bosses in part 2. I can see this being used for Gi Nattak, Lost Number, or Demon Wall. If do show WUtai, maybe Corneo's flying monster?
My favorite part of this theme starts at :40 and then again at 2:30 and so on. Some other RU-vid videos of this theme cut out before it even starts and I'm guessing it's because it's in the 2nd phase.
