The whole idea of Katana on fire that can make flames with it's swing is just badass I really want to try this out and I think in battle field this thing would work great both defensively (because flames could cause smoke screens and burn) And offensively (I don't think I don't have to explain why)
The flames will heat metal making it more prone to dulling the blade easier and not retain its shape, smoke screening would also block your own vision, and it won’t really light people on fire if they are fully armoured in steel
Well unless you straight up impale them the flames aren’t going to do very much. I’m sure you’ve seen before that if you only come into contact with fire, as long as it’s only for a brief moment, it won’t do severe damage or any damage at all.
One cool thing about this is that 1 it's wireless and 2 it gives him extended range which seems useless since it won't hurt but can definitely throw someone off guard
Most likely there is a butane tank inside the handle with a switch up against the tsuba, and he put a lot of very tiny holes inside the swords blade so the fire comes out from the blade

is there a type of metal that you could use to keep the strength of the sword while it’s on fire? because while it’s on fire it is messing with the temper and strength of the sword right?
