Agreed. Ive seen many child actor in short drama. Most of them has deadpan expression and deliver dialogue like reading a book. Its not easy to find someone as good as this

What else could she have done??? In that era women didn't have much power. Plus the villainess was trying to assassinate her. She had only one option to rely on her scumbag husband for revenge, protection, to clear her name and for her son's future. I don't think she had any other option than forgive him 😕😕
The only thing that bothers me about this ancient times abuse shit is that even the resentment is let go, I get every other point. But to be content with all that, you gotta be the biggest at Turning The Other Cheek.
Luckily, I'm not born in this era. Women can't even open mouth to say no for everything happens to them. ML and FL did their part well to create the strong love between the two main characters. The antagonist were the best too..bring my mind to that era. Interesting drama😊
Overall I enjoyed this drama. MLs and FLs and all actors casted well. The acting is good, the kiss scenes are real, costumes are intricate and well designed and made. They take particular care on small details like hair and makeup and blood stains on swords etc. The part where the 2ML revolt and the hair, make up and acting of the emperor is really believable and good. The boy is cute. I saw another version of this story and i think this one is better. Overall thumbs up. Recommend.
Aaah how refreshing a completely unique story line. Very nice to not spend 15 minutes watching 1 stuck scene . And a movie that only has 4 scenes of just talking 😅 . ❤🎉 100% Approved

I can't stand all these dramas when the FL forgive at the end the ML after all the violence, humiliation and so on. Now when I start watching a drama and the ML is a violent scumbag, I forward directly to the end to see if I continue to watch or stop right there and then. Most of the time I am really disgusted when after all the abuse they are lovey dovey as if nothing major happend. Is this behavior normal in China? I don't think so, or at least I hope it's sthg unacceptable and reprehensible. I think that all these sceewiters, actors and Directors should refuse to write, play and direct this genre. 'Cause accepting to work with such script means that they are helping to endoctrinate the girls to accept this kind of abuse and what is more dangerous is making it normale. Please before doing this films, think about your daughters, sisters and mothers.

Enjoyed this mini drama. The cast did well. Love the kid. He can really act, especially the crying part. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Both leads are good looking. Glad that she was able to be saved & remained back in that era.

In fact i like it a lots. Acting was on high level,scenes. Why she forgive him? Normal,cause she wasn't abused a lots from what I saw. She was only locked in her palace, nothing else. They didn't knew each other so good.I would forgive too .

nice drama❤❤ I actually don't like the way FL tend to attract ML'S focus to them by using divorce things 😮😮 especially time travelers going in the era where women are not given much importance and after reaching there she tend to bring 21st century behaviors there. 😊😊😊😊but here she became a woman of the era even after coming out even though she didn't fight with ML but she didn't complete any wife's obligations and forgave him with time and she has his child and children of divorced parents in that time were always bullied so i loved this drama 😊😊😊😊
I did not hate this, except for the first few minutes of the drama with the FS and the 5 years house arrest. The ML did not humiliate the FL after that, unlike other dramas where the FL receives abuse after abuse. Interesting way of using the knife of forgiveness towards the end.
Why didn’t she tell ML the kid was his son? Everyone else recognizes the kid as ML’s legally…he’ll still be in danger as the emporer’s grandson so why lie to his dad??? 🙍🏾🤷🏼♀️🤦🏽

FL (actress Meng Na) is very charming and alluring at first including her son (so cute). But later I'm not sure if it's the makeup or lighting that became different. Now the ML is the one who became handsome later on. They make a great family. I like the trio. They look beautiful as a family. I just don't like the concept of another guy claiming to be her fated destiny and asking her to consummate just to save her. Uh? She's already married and has a kid. I like other version of this story. Ml continued to be his arrogant ass self. Fl never even pretended to like him. At the end Fl took her son and left at the end, plus she wrote best ‘dear John’ letter ever of these short dramas.
Ok, the actors were good, but the story is really weird 😅 FL doesn't mind the cruel things done to her.🤔 As for the ML, after not seeing her for 5 years, he's into the FL all of a sudden 😅
