i read years ago when i first found the song that queer relationships between girls in early school years in japan arent frowned upon because they arent taken as serious so one of the girls just "grew out of it" while the main girl is just a queer person. but also idk how much of it is true bc like i said i read it long time ago and dont know how much truth that holds haha

In Japan, lesbian relationships in high school or middle school are seen as childish and something that the girls are supposed to grow out of, and a lot of the time, it is like this, but the taller girl seemed that she was actually a lesbian, and while the shorter girl "grew out" of being gay, the taller girl did not.
