Thanks for showing your process... its really amazing! I hope you upload a tengu mask video, that would be incredible ! You are a great artist.. Greetings from Perú!
The most informative and interesting video I’ve seen so far on this subject: extremely precise, detailed and understandable. Thanks Hiromitsu for sharing your knowledge and making it usable for everybody. One day I’ll be able to properly say that in Japanese as well ))
Absolutely amazing. I can’t even imagine the amount of skill one needs to even attempt to do that and do it justice. I stick to simple woodworking by comparison, making furniture. You are a artist of the highest skill.
Brother thank you infinite times for showing us the grid technique - so simple and easy to understand!! Oh my lord I am going to make some hidden daggers… My wife is going to be finding tiny deities and mantras on the corner of everything in our house! Haha, wow, again so much appreciation for sharing your hard earned technique!
im 15, and have been woodworking and making wooden masks since i was 13. i only recently tried looking to the internet for help, and it is really really inspiring. when i grow up i want to be a wooden-mask maker in japan, i always thought Noh theater was really really cool
I'm so happy to have stumbled on your channel. I'm a mask enthusiast and I remember when I was younger there was a workshop in my city on how to creater then (I don't recall if it were wood ones). However because of work I could not participate in it. It's something that I always think of. I want to start it as a hobby and watching your channel is really inspiring. Do you have any more tips of materials to study such craft? Thank you very much for sharing your skill and knowledge. You are a true master. Greetings from Brazil!
I only recognize one of the masks from Afro Samurai in the thumbnail. Seein' stuff like this always reminds me of how I always wanted to get into cosplay.
