My dad had a carving set from the 70's that still sits in my large toolbox. Maybe today is the day to start for me. Thx for the inspiration. Great tutorial!👍⚒️
Finally, a video with all the best qualities: short, informative, relaxing, lack of over-produced annoying soundtrack. Wish there was a search filter for these. Thank you
There are three types of carpenters. One does only doors, windows and ceiling beams for houses, The second slightly advanced, does show cases, wardrobes, shelves. The third is very artistic, highly skilled and intelligent. Does statues, fine carved wooden sculptures etc. My respects to you, the third kind of artist. Regards.
"This is a chisel, and this is a wood. I will put a sharp end of a chisel to wood. Don't worry if this is to difficult for you, I will repeat it like 15 times."
Pretty cool how you don’t even need language to communicate ideas clearly. Awesome! I’ve been wanting to try this for years, I’m going to order some decent affordable chisels right now…
at each stage I get fright and think whoa..that's way too much, you'll ruin....oh hang on that does look better ...a master a work. Iv recently had a midlife crisis and brought all the gear and got into carpentry. thank you for a bit of inspiration.

Hay thanks you for showing how a beginner can get started on a basic carving, just take your time first carving may not turn out great but just keep at it and they will get better. I tried it with my dermal tool. I want to use my carving knives they are really sharp blades I sharpen them to cut through wood with a breeze even hard wood.
