The way you shade totally blew my mind for some reason LOL. I've always loved doing dramatic lighting because it was so much easier to imagine where the light was coming from rather than the shadows, but dreaded most other shading because of that too! I never thought to just....erase where I thought the light would be and then use it as a reference?!? ANYWAYS - great review :D I LOVED watching the speedpaint.
I really like your art, it’s very expressive and feels extremely fluid, is the best way I can put it. I’m hopefully getting a drawing tablet and maybe some more books for my 15th bday in a week, and I want to become a great artist like you someday! ❤️❤️❤️
Aww sorry but it's just WONDERFUL and the moment you draw is just phenomenal and your voice is BEAUTIFUL also surprised me that so soon a new episode but well, I won't complain🥰
I'm late to the party but here I am :D First of all, the piece of Lerlihr is top tier as always 😌👌 It was really cool to watch your art progress from scratch! I'm still trying to figure out how to set my layer mods right so the shading looks good. Seeing the way you did the shading and highlights (especially that you make a super rough shading at the beginning) really made my head go 🤯 So I hope you don't mind me trying out your shading technique next time I'm working on a drawing! Final thought: the little tweened Cherry in the corner was just the "cherry" ( :'D ) ontop 👌 do you have an tutorial you can recommend for a little page doll like this?
Tysm!! You can totally use that shading technique! I don't know any tutorials to share aa I just kinda messed around with it on my own until I got it to look the way I wanted haha ^^' I might make one myself in the future tho since ppl seem interested in my tweening!
Hello! I've love your art style and your animations are amazing! But I was wanting to ask, do you have any tips for good ref sheets? I like to draw my characters slot over and over again!
Tysm! I think it helps a lot to include multiple angles of your character and some notes about their design! If you look at professional character references they have tons of breakdowns of the character's shapes, etc. (like how many fur tufts they have on their cheek, what kind of shapes they use to build their design such as circles or triangles, etc) which helps artists keep the designs consistent.
Hello Cherry dusk! I love your work and your art same goes to your animation! They are all lovely if you don’t mind me asking what app do you use to draw I’m curious. Is alright you don’t have to answer my question. I hope to see your next video!
I’m considering buying this tablet, the only question I have is can you animate with it? (Sorry if it’s a dumb question lol-) or more specifically is there any specific animation apps or programs that are compatible?
Yeah, you can animate on it! I can't find a comprehensive list of compatible programs, but Gaomon's site asserts that it should be compatible with most popular drawing programs (PS, Blender, firealpaca, Krita, etc). If you're unsure if your program is compatible, I'd shoot Gaomon an email to double check!
Thank you! The blending mode changes how that layer reacts to the layers beneath it! When you set it to multiply, it basically means anything you draw on it will appear darker over the lower layers with the tint of the colour you're drawing with
