A Fate/Stay Night AMV made by me, Yugus
This AMV was entered at the Anime North 08 music video competition and it won under the Momiji's Challenge category.
The Challenge was to create a video comprised of still images and special effects.
I have to say thats its not to bad for my first attempt at making an AMV. And completing it in two months, before the deadline, with the first half done on a trial version of After Effects CS3. Only if I knew about the competition earlier this video might have been a little better, hahaha because two months isn't a lot of time with school and everything. So no fancy effects or what not.
The images are from Fate/Stay Night + Realta Nua, and Hollow Ataraxia CG'. Along art from Fate/Side Material, Zero, and a few posters.
The music is my own mixed version of Danzai no Hana ~Guilty Sky~ (The original rock+ballad version)

Fun fact, this amv was out waaaaay before fate became mainstream. Before fate/zero, before all of those apocrypha and kaleid liner. Such a relict.

the only fate amv i like because it fits together really well and is vn focused, everything else is just anime scenes with hype songs over it. doesn't feel like there was anywhere near as much effort put into them as there is in this

Here's how good your video is: I've tried desperately to get people to play the game, and no argument has convinced them...and then I showed them this video, and now I've had to burn copies for three people. :D This absolutely rules. It tells the story with spoilerific imagery that still manages not to spoil anything! Awesome.

I had no idea that such a good amv could be made from still pics. this is the best first amv I've seen so far (I think. not sure. after u see so many AMVs, u start to forget some of the good ones). anyway, I think I understand that this is composed of several animes. could you list what they r pls? it's a little bit hard to be sure from your description. also pls make more AMVs like this one. 5/5

@c001pers0n The original (the game) has three routes and the anime only covered one of those routes. Also it mixed in Hollow Ataraxia which is the canon sequel to Fate Stay Night and Zero which is the prequel of Fate Stay Night.

"Not too bad for your first attempt?" Pardon me, but if this is your first AMV, then lemme tell you right now: you have some great talent. Not every AMV needs a bunch of flashy/fancy effects to be good. To me, this video proves that still images arranged in a proper and creative fashion can still be just as good as a flashy one with action on every inch of the screen. Bravo, good sir/ma'am, bravo. (not sure if you're a guy or a girl...)

@Jornalator no lol, the true ending is not a bad ending. It was just as good as any other of the true endings. BTW the Good ending of UBW is an alternate ending to the UBW it is not another path.

So Satsuki is stealing Rin's place so she could get some real screentime in? And Rin's trying to make the best of the situation by taking Shirou with her? Yeah, I could totally imagine Rin as a vampire, flying around and stalking her victims roof to roof! But not so much Satsuki as a mage......... Idky, but I keep imagining she'd be a clutzy mage. Combine that with the cynical Archer and you've got a recipe for a comedic disastor.

@jeezy395 What good ending Ilya dies, well yeah Shirou and Rin got together but still in the end Saber leaves. But all Fate Stay scenarios are really great how they make an anime of HF and Hallow Ataraxia.

And aside from the Rin/Satsuki swap, there's been one other point that's been continuously bugging me since I first saw this; unless I forgot a certain scene in FSN or it was in FSN-HA, I don't think that Sakura biting Shirou's(?) finger at 1:52 was a natural scene. Possible reference to Akiha or a reverse-Hisui-situation? I doubt this will get responded, but meh.

Oh, omfg, I'm pretty much spamming now, but I just saw Nanaya in the split second between 2:06 and 2:07 . As cool as the Nine Lives Blade Works is, it's got nothing on Nanaya. Geez, too many things to read too deeply on. Nanaya FTW tho!
