I get touching the ice to trigger the jump attack, but why doesn't it freeze you over? is it position dependent or timing? also how'd that KO work at the end, are stones blunt damage?? and lastly what's the evade window for, just for the roars?
You only get stuck in the ice as long as you're physically in it. If you manage to move away or if it disappears, you're free. What Aris does is walk into it late (way after it has spawned) so that it disappears instantly and he's freed very quickly.

Salir antes del hielo depende de dos cosas, la primera es la posición del cazador, es decir contra más al borde estés o te metas en el hielo mejor, tienes que girar el yostik en esa dirección para poder salir lo antes posible. La otra posibilidad es que el hielo esté apunto de desaparecer, tienes que timear el tiempo que dura el hielo para poder aprovecharlo a tu favor.
