There's a simple way to fix the chicken-farm-feather problem! 1. Put a cauldron above the *cobbled deepslate slab* . 2. Remove the lava bucket from your dispenser. 3. Put the lava in the cauldron (don't use shift!). 4. Replace the *cobbled deepslate slab* with a *stonecutter* . There you go! It should work better now. I've tested it.

*Explanation (if curious):* The lava cauldron kills chickens. A baby chicken is small enough to fit between the stonecutter and cauldron, but when it grows up it reaches the cauldron and dies. It can't be a slab, because adult chickens fit between that and a cauldron. The stonecutter is just slightly taller. Bonus: For anyone reading this, I ended up making a better design. I'll post a screenshot soon.

Ceci might be saying that it's "just a chatting stream", but we had a complete story with a blood-thrilling cave adventure, a risky trip into the Nether where some mistakes were made, and finally... a farm-watching finale with plenty of suspense. I'd call that an immer-win!
