I've only managed to beat this ending on Descension 6 so far (Rising Waves, but I prefer calling Descension because Ascension/Descension). It's a hell of a time to beat, but I'm slowly getting consistent ways to do so.
from the limited information from the video it seems like we fought mizuki god (similar to Ishar-mla/Skadi altar), after we wont the mizuki god created a human body for mizuki to leave behind, then the mizuki god evolved to spacefaring capabilities and brought seaborne all over the world with it to space (exlpore/conquer the universe), as result Terra will be left in peace and seaborne free
That depends on how you think of it. People were still beaten, but some survived. Most of the creatures were erased from Terra, but the rest found the world became Eden after those seaborn left.
You can keep high light by getting the collectible that gives you light every time you win without leaks. You can also get up to 30 light back at the resting space if you use people oriented squad (with the double use upgrade)
In short, from my understanding, Mizuki is taking over the seaborn and guide them to space so the people of Terra can leave in peace without threat from the ocean
doc help mizuki transform seaborn and seaborn rebuild the terra then most of them went to space though most ppl died but no more ordum cancer no more disaster the lived ppl start rebuild home and now seaborn think we are non threat we can live together
