“A legend tells of a great kingdom in the sky, known as ‘Meridian’. Some call it the ‘Land of Silver and Gold’ and attempt to make pilgrimages to it in search of fortune and prosperity during this tragic age,” Madrigal motioned to the hologram of the harbour.
“Meridian…” Vylet glanced over at Twilight who slid onto her hooves and trotted over to them.
“However, none who return tell of finding it. Most don’t return at all. Because of this, the high scholars of Fairytail dismiss these stories as myths and nothing more,” he continued. Waving his hoof, Madrigal shifted the scene inside of the hologram. It now showed a plateau overlooking a beach. “It’s said travelers must travel eastward to seek out Meridian. But they’re fools.”
“You believe Meridian is real?” Twilight finished sipping her tea and set the empty cup down on the nightstand. “Are you suggesting we travel there ourselves?”
“Meridian can be reached by journeying to the Locus, a place between realities and worlds. You can find it past the Verdure forest, east of this city. Even those who may think they know where it lies cannot enter. But you…” he looked around at Vylet and the others, “you have the power to enter.”
