While Cloud's life is fraught with well strife and he would have to fight and struggle to achieve what he wants he was less talented than Zack as Cloud could only be a Shinra Trooper while Zack made it in Soldier. BUT Zack's life IMO was filled with Strife after he was caught by Hojo. Escaping and traveling all the way to Midgar while protecting Cloud and hoping to see Aerith only to die just as he almost made it and yes i am a fan of both Zack and Cloud.
