The grading makes no sense tbh, it's safe to completely ignore it. It punishes you with every normal whiff. Let that sink in, one of the most crucial elements in the game (building meter) is punished in the grades. It's pointless.

this is such a cool video - a real love letter to the game and you clearly put a lot of time into it. it's fun to watch and i learned a few things, despite being someone who has seen a lot of combo/TAS vids for 3s. good job!

I watched a DKC2 TAS like this years ago and always wished there were more TASes like it. I like seeing information about hitboxes and the renda bonus.

Extremely impressive job! Huge thanks for the subtitles and telling how everything works. I assume you are also the one that created the LUA script for 3rd strike trials? If so, can I ask one question; I've watched 3 videos about those trials and in every one of them, AI in some trials, is basically standing still while doing nothing. When I'm doing those specific trials (for instance Ibuki's trials when I had to input crouch light kick to stand l punch etc. and Ken's crouch light kick to crouching light punch, AI bot attacks and stuff's my inputs). I had to knockdown AI Bot before the combo in order to complete it. Is there a bug or did I miss something? Anyway still, amazing TAS man.
I have completed all but 2 trials with no issues at all . Try reinstalling the script (and the savestates it uses). A friend of mine had some issues too, different than yours, and he solved it by reinstalling from scratch. Or maybe you have 2P inputs bond to some of you 1P buttons.
