In this unrestricted battle, Yukari's power has too many possibilities for most characters to even consider fighting her. Like how she wrapped herself in gaps to get all the energy to pass through her, that alone makes her nigh invincible.
Not to mention she created Gensokyo, and Gensokyo isn't only a country, nor is it a universe or even a multiverse... it's an entire parallel REALITY. The outside world is fiction in Gensokyo, and Gensokyo is fiction in the outside world. Yukari isn't merely a reality warper, she can literally end or create realities...
I will say yukari's power is not all powerful. She can't gap to the moon without making a bunch of the trip there already, she required the help of at least three others to help make the hakurai barrier. And generally this level of combat would never happen since yukari is far too lazy in this day and age to actually be serious, it would take something of massive proportions to even cause her to deal with them personally (ISC is one of the few times where she decides to actually do something out of her own volition.) On the topic of Marisa she never stood a chance against yukari in a no bars held battle. the master spark is honestly just a feather in terms of true attack strength.
Marisa's achievement that were probably close to canon: -Winning the tournament in Touhou 3 (which was why she had missile rockets in Touhou 4) -solving Mountain Of Faith Incident at least partially (which was the reason she knew Nitori) -solving Subterannean Animism Incident completely (Reimu didn't travel to underground according to wikia, however it was unknown who Marisa's partner was in this incident solving) Impressive, but still ling way to go. Marisa is upper mid-tier at best.
@@@roberthasudungan1546 I'm pretty sure touhou 1-5 are treated as separate canon from 6 onward(at least so far anyway. So it is unlikely Marisa has that missle rocket in 6 onward and unlikely that the tournament happened, but if it did because many places and a few are reused from the pc-98 games we don't really have any evidence of how it played out or if there were any differences. The worlds of the pc 98 and windows era actually have a lot of differences in how they function, and I'm pretty sure Zun mentioned windows being a clean sweep or at least different. I agree Marisa is actually pretty strong though(at least way stronger than the average person and probably rivaling a mid tier to upper mid tier yokai), but it would be no exaggeration to say that Yukari may be even able to rival some gods with her boundary and portal based abilities, assuming their actually fighting to the death and not using danmaku. Although there are acceptations to this since for example the god of Hakurei Shrine would probably have a huge advantage when fighting yokai. Then again it's hard to gauge the power of some touhou characters since some use more abstract concepts like instantaneous and eternity. Yukari's abilities kind of fall under this category because she knows, and seems to be able to mess, with things like the boundaries between seasons, at least to a point and other things mention that she could in theory erase the boundaries of objects causing them to kind of cease to exist(it's described like if you took away the point where the water meets the air in a lake it's not really a lake anymore since it would be impossible to distinguish between the lake and surrounding air, thus there would be no lake anymore).
Dapper Parraper no. It will still be considered canon for as long as it doesn’t contradict the window’s era (I.e. Reimu having Purple Hair and Marisa having Red Hair)
Marisa defeated them because of spell card rules. In a real battle, there is no way a simple magician could dream of winning against a Youkai who can alter the boundary between life and death or possible and impossible. Yukari is WAY more than a "hag with hax"
The craziest part is that Marisa only gets ONE hit on Yukari, she tries to make it count by going all out with it, and in the end it didn't even make a difference.
Actually, I don't think she did. It's been a while since I watched "God doesn't play dice," but I seem to recall that Marisa _stole_ that gap rather than create it... You may notice she has some star-adorned pins, uh, pinning the gap? That's 'cuz the head canon behind "God doesn't play dice" speculates that gaps are controlled and kept from going haywire/coming undone by keeping them neatly tied up with ribbons... which is why Yukari's gap started to crack and Yukari got stuck in it when Marisa undid one of her ribbons keeping the gap under her control... or something like that...
But damn! At 3:01 she just breaks apart her gap then manipulates her border between Injury and Health. Manipulation of Boundaries has GOTTA be the most broken power EVER!
while i agree Manipulation of boundaries (Reality warping) is powerful there are things better than it very few things but it is a top teir power to have
Out of the many reasons why we have the spellcard rules this is probably the biggest reason, not only so humans and weaker youkai have a chance against gods and higher youkai, but so even strong characters like Marisa can have a chance at beating something as OP as Yukari freakin yakumo
+Fяєуα “Hisoka the Hunter” Sorceress I think the only way you can "beat" Yukari (outside of somehow being stronger than her) is for either: A) She takes pity on you and lets you "win". B) She gets bored of the battle and lets you "win". Or C) She isn't in the fighting mood and lets you "win".
+Meta Bunny I can't agrue with this one. And we talking about Yukari. Eiki Shiki is even more powerful. Yukari said it herself. She Reimu and Yuyuko combine wouldn't be strong enough to defeat Eiki. Talk about firepower.
Bloodlusted Yukari= end of the omniverse, please, get your facts right XD. And Fully powered Eiki VS. Fully powered Yukari will be an easy win for Yukari. On the other hand, Danmaku rules Eiki VS. Danmaku rules Yukari is an easy win for Eiki.
You guys should watch "God doesn't play dice" which this was made for! Its a really good hand-drawn theatre, one if the best ive seen! Also this video shows so much dedication. I mean this was probably really difficult to animate
Oh, man. I just copied and pasted that title in other tab and yeah, the series is wonderful. But is unfinished since long time ago. I went to niconico and the author just dropped it.
Dude, not even death can stop Yukari, that's absolutely fucking busted That's boggers, it makes me think how the fuck is Hecatia and Shikieiki stronger than her They must be absolutely nuts
I love how this stayed true to how yukari always is. She is clearly toying with her at the beginning and she could've finished her off whenever she wanted.
Damn, this fight is so one-sided a normal human witch vs border manipulation youkai..... yukari is able open her gap inside marisa body and rip off her heart....
@@เซฟ-ล3ณ She could just kill her, then manipulate border between life and death and bring her back, then kill her, then revive her, over and over. It's scary
Theres one *nerf* to Yukari here in this series, which is removing ribbons into her gap make her stop manipulating it lolol In Marisa's case, i think its canon that she can copy some various of ability i think
It is yeah, in the Grimoire Of Marisa Kirisame you have alot of the spell cards in the series and I think she openly admits that she copies moves from the likes of Patchouli and such. I dunno if she could copy Gap manipulation, seems more like a Yukari exclusive skill
@@XXLightningxFarron Actually manipulation of boundaries isn't exactly unique to Yukari, we know of another canon character that can do so but if the theories are true then it is hers and hers alone as far as we've seen but if they aren't then there're two boundary manipulators in Touhou.
@@XXLightningxFarron I’ve seen people all over the place say that Reimu has some control over borders. Baseless speculation: I think Reimu might use them differently? Maybe something to do with barriers? (Insert shrug here.)
Holy crap, that was incredible. The movement is so fluid! And those camera angles! I also love how Yukari starts pulling some Pride crap at the end, nice. The only problem I had with it was Marisa's hair, I don't mind her with short hair, but the design of the hair is a bit weird.
Well, Marisa's hair was probably modeled that way to help with her animations. As you can see, she's extremely mobile while Yukari stays in one place throughout the video.
PrincessZuri1 Wrong, this is from this author's fan series. Her hair is cut for different reasons. Watch "Touhou: God doesn't play dice." And you'll understand.
This is what happens when an ordinary magician tries to defeat who mostly is the strongest yokai in gensokyo; I guess she learnt a lesson today... ...If she's gonna remember it anyways.
the actual plot is pretty sad actually. Spoilers. Long story short, Reimu has to sacrifice herself to stop Gensokyo from dieing and all. Marisa hates that and wants to bring back Reimu at the cost of Gensokyo. All the other's tries to stop her from succeeding.
@@azurechen123 This is a part of the Touhou web series, God doesn't play dice. Specifically episode 5. Unfortunately it only has 5 episodes and has stayed that way for 6 years now without a conclusion. Here's the link to the first episode with subs. (Turn on CC) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7EAULtbilo4.html You can find the rest just by searching it.
All these little arguments, and yet nobody seems to have noticed one terrifying thing. At 2:25, Marisa not only manipulates the boundary between here and there, SHE DISRUPTS YUKARI'S CONTROL OVER ONE OF HER OWN GAPS!
actually not only one or two, ALL of it lmao. Yukari has a lot of limitations because she's well, Yukari and if she's unleashed, this is the perfect scenario. according to Remilia, if Yukari is unleashed, it'll take all of them to actually stop her. so imagine if she didn't break any spellcard during this fight, Marisa would have stood a chance like in the game. (the game has spellcard rules established that's why Reimu and Marisa can kick ass)
@@proudmonsterfuck3r Dude, Yukari is actually rather skittish around Reimu. Her ability to float away from reality is busted. It makes her literally invincible.
@@combativeThinker but Reimu only weakness is that, she doesn't seem have any offensive ability to can take down Yukari now. I mean her offensive attack is literary from being a Shrine Maiden
@@siryes actually, the look on yukari faces looklike as she enjoying it rather fighting seriously, like fighting something rather amusing. A human dare to challenge her a yokai
3:09 If it were to be a real fight, Marisa's body would just become a pulp of blood, flesh, bones and organs, thanks to Yukari's OP ability that didn't happen, these two are clearly goofing around trying to not get bored and discover new tactics whenever they wait for the next major incident or after the said incident.
In love with the animations of yukari snapping and a gap appearing on the magic circle and marisa doing the thumbs down I’d still call this a personal win for marisa because she managed to catch yukari off guard 2:22
I really don't know why, but I can't help but imagine this being Lambdadelta vs Featherine if Featherine actually wrote out the fight in Umineko. This is just that awesome.
Yukari sama is so amazing!!!! Goes even better with Touhou Remix #45 (Metal) Necrofantasia, it's not the proper title but if you search for this on YT, you will find out everything.
This shiz niz is straight fire, fam. I was squealing the whole time, because every action each character took flowed into the next. My favorite part was towards the end when Yukari got fried
