レセプション聞いてから気づいたけど、最後のシーンで鍵開けて入ったところが完全にVan de Shopなんだよね それも、建物がさびれててチェーンと南京錠が付いてるってことは今は使われてないってこと おそらく栗山さんとして描かれたキャラクターが、鍵を開けてVan de Shopに入っていったからVan de Shopの再始動もこの曲の時点で既に考えられていたってことなんだね… もう凄すぎて言葉が出ないよ……

2:31で表情の描き方がsakiyamaさんにしては結構甘いな、って思ったけど、次のシーンの絵が上手くなったとこで、蜂屋さんと一緒に成長したことの暗喩って気づいてめちゃくちゃ鳥肌立った。

質の良いイラストを 惜しみなく使うとこスゴすぎる

The lyrics haven't been translated yet, but going by the MV and the title of the song, I think that it is about how Hachiya had to rebrand himself and ended up becoming "Kuriyama Yuri". First of all, the song is called Anaphilaxie Bee, and Hachiya's other pseudonym is Beeshop, so the allusion is clear. The title doesn't clearly state the relationship between the Anaphylaxis in question and the Bee, so it could mean either: 1) A "Bee" (Hachiya) making its fans suffer anaphylaxis due to its toxic sting (i.e music). This would be pretty in line with the theme of Hachiya's previous works, his most popular song, Jitter bug, presents a message that can be summed up as "Don't listen to crictics, just make whatever music you want" which fits the idea of a musician as a bee that doesn't simply produce music, but rather stings its fans hard with their songs. 2) Anaphilaxie Bee could refer to a bee that, contradictory to its own nature as the one who stings, ends up suffering anaphylaxis due to its own toxins. The parallel here would be that the "Hachiya Nanashi" identiy had to be left behind because it was inconvenient, so the artist went from "Bee" to a "Flower" in order to break past this Anaphilaxie. Given how the whole song is a farewell to Hachiya Nanashi, I believe that the second option is more likely to be what Kuriyama was aiming for, but it could simply be both or something else entirely. Now onto the MV itself; We see from the beginning that the prisoner is named BEESHOP, it pops up both in their uniform and the name tag they hold, implying that the protagonist is Hachiya’s old persona as a Vocaloid producer. 0:24 The TV starts red but quickly turns green, a nod to the traffic lights festured in Neurosis and Ope. On the other hand, the TV itself could be a nod to Ope, since the scene in minute 0:17 of that MV shows a remote control turning off the screen and implies that the whole video is a sequence reproduced in a TV. Not to mention, Ope in general has a lot of TV-related imagery, like the windows of Steel's room that act as TV screens and broadcast the videos he watches on his phone for the viewer to see, at the beginning of the song. 0:33 The prisoner is located in room "AB 01", which probably stands for the acronym of Anaphylaxie Bee (AB), while the one owes to the fact that AB is the first song in the album of the same name (as seen in the crossfade video). On the other hand, as the Japanese fans already commented, the “No. 0088774” can be read as 8=Hachi, 8= Ya (another way to pronounce 8 in Japanese), 77=Nana and 4= Shi, spelling out Hachiya Nanashi, funnily enough, Hachiya had already used this method to sign as “774” in Lime Light’s credits. In case the “BEESHOP” namedrops weren’t blatant enough, this makes it 100% clear that the character we see in the prison is Hachiya himself. 0:40 We see in the plate that the place the protagonist is about to enter is a bee library, which takes on a different connotation once you consider that the rest of the song doesn’t present bees as something positive. 0:50 The full shot of the prisoner's back reveals that his jacket has a logo depicting the abdominal segment and stinger of a bee, with the text “Anaphylaxie” written at the bottom. Combined with 0:08, which reveals the front of his jacket has a comb, we can get a full view of the bee motifs found in the protagonist's clothing. 0:58 These pigs are actually different from the dancing pigs in Purple Hype (those show up later), since they are wearing bowties that PH's pigs didn't have, but they have the same oddly specific “neck slightly bent to the side while flowers bloom in your eyes and your mouth is stuffed” pose that Nuro has in in Vital Sign’s thumbnail, albeit mirrored. Neurosis commented on the state of growing flowers in your eye socks with the lyrics "Ugh, there's nothing that's more annoying than this/ an empty head bloomed with blossoms" (1:13 in Neurosis), and Happy Face outright showed its protagonist forming a smile cult as the 'flowers' bloomed in everyone heads and erased their depression, so it's no mystery that the motif of blooming eyes represents a fake or numbed happiness that the characters in the Bee-verse pursue when they have nothing else left. Couple this with how the sting causes fireworks to appear, the fact that later in AB the song equates bees to drugs, and that the library sequence stands out for it massive amount of intense colors, it’s obvious that the segment is so trippy because the prisoner got high on the bee’s toxin. Although just like it was Purple Hype’s Mv, not even drugs can fully conceal all the issues that motivated the protagonist to consume them in the first place. The same judging eyes that appear in almost all of Hachiya’s MV (both the Kokoronosuke and Sakiyama ones) are scattered across the library’s wall (0:56) and stare at everything the prisoner does, even if they are literally painted over by his high to seem less threatening. Given how Sakiyama has played a lot with signs in their previous collabs with Hachiya and used them to express the character’s emotional state, more specifically their willingness to ‘move forward’ with their lives or not (look no further than all the traffic signs/lights in Neurosis), I think it’s a very important detail that as it’s seen in 0:46, the prisoner is moving in the direction marked by an evacuation sign. It’s not the “stop/keep moving” dichotomy presented by traffic lights in previous songs, i.e the dilemma of living vs giving up on life (as Ope’s lyrics put it), here the character is straight up taking the easy way out by running away through the ‘evacuation route’ and drugging himself, so he doesn’t even have to think about what choice he’ll make. Incidentally, the evacuation sign is shown to be located in a passageway with black walls and white flooring that doesn’t match the structure of the actual entrance displayed at 0:50 or the insides of the library (0:53 lets you see the design of the hallway’s floor and walls for a short second to compare them), and it pops up while the prisoner is walking towards the library, before we even see him get in front of the library’s double doors. Most importantly, there weren’t any passageways or evacuation signs outside the library, as can be corroborated in 0:41, therefore this tunnel is either inside the MC’s imagination, or the library is inside his head and he is actually walking further into the corridor in reality. Regardless of which one is the case here, the important part is that the function of the evacuation sign is flipped. A normal one would be placed inside the building in order to show exit routes, but in this situation the MC is entering a building under the guidance of an evacuation sign, which brings me back to the idea that the entire library is an evacuation route that the MC traverses to flee from reality. The change in perspective from Bee Shop happily dancing with the pigs to the lone sign in 1:22 really drives the point home that what he is doing in there is pure escapism. Anyway, back to the frame-by frame analysis; 1:02 These are the same tanks that appeared in Dizzy Dizzy (3:09, as part of the credits screen), Hachiya’s last song released before his temporary retirement, although this time they look slightly different because they were real life pictures with a filter applied back in DD, but now returned as actual drawing for AB. (Let’s be real, making an animation of a 100% accurate to RL tank when they only end up appearing on-screen for exactly two seconds would have been a pain). 1:05 The hands on the sides are making the same gesture you can see Nuro perform repeteadly in Neurosis (check 2:24 in its MV to see it). The gesture of putting your middle and ring finger on your thumb to resemble a mouth is normally used to mimic a fox, but Neurosis as a representation of rabbits because one of its main motifs was the rabbit-duck illusion. Nuro was visible scared of those rabbits, probably because they were the successful people he could never become as he wavered between being a duck and a rabbit, but that’s a topic for Neurosis’ comment section. The rest of neon signs could be more references to DD, since that song does feature a lot of palm trees (like REALLY a lot) together with junk-food eating and has a general theme of mindless indulgence that fits all the pub and bar logos in this scene, but it could also just be a random assortment of funky neon signs that look cool, which would be good too. 1:10 This pose and the expression on the prisoner’s face immediately reminded me of Purple Hype’s MC on my first watch (I’m talking about the kaleidoscope shot in minute 2:11 of that MV), which is most likely intentional, since at 1:24 AB switches for a brief instant to the same riff that PH uses as bridge before its chorus. Then, as if dancing with Purple Hype’s pigs in dresses at 1:14 wasn’t enough, the song decides to employ a similar amount of bpm compared to PH during Hachiya’s conversation with his Kuriyama persona. The focus on PH must owe to the fact that, at the end of the day, it IS the first song that ‘Kuriyama Yuri’ produced after leaving behind the identity of ‘Hachiya Nanashi’. I don’t understand what the lyrics, so I’ll skip the conversation itself for now. (Continuing in replies)

冒頭の囚人になる主人公？=蜂屋ななし、 途中で主人公牢獄から解放する 主人公似のスーツ着た男性=栗山夕璃 として解釈したけどしっくりくる。 ラスサビからの蜂屋ななし名義のボカロ曲の イメージが強く出てる背景を栗山さんが走りながら 最後寂れた一室にとあるレコードを流すシーン、 あれこそが負の感情が強く出ていた蜂屋ななしの作品と存在を受け入れて栗山として胸に秘めて進んでいくってメッセージに見えた。 ラストのエンドラン終盤でHappy Shapeのような笑顔で笑うシーンも最高。

Bee reference counters: x8 This song gives an entirely new auditory high, especially this cover! I’m an Audio-Visual learner and a highly empathetic intuitive person, so i can pick up on the energy in these songs.
