On May 22, 2010, #airindiaexpress Flight 812, a scheduled international journey from Dubai to #Mangalore, experienced a tragic incident during landing. The #boeing737 -800 passenger jet, which was operating the flight, crashed as a consequence of an unstabilized approach. Despite three urging calls from the first officer to initiate a "go-around," the captain persisted with the descent. This led to the aircraft overshooting the runway, tumbling down a hillside, and igniting in flames. Out of the 160 passengers and six crew members on board, 158 lost their lives, including all crew members and 152 passengers. Only eight individuals survived this devastating event. Notably, this incident marked the first fatal accident involving Air India Express.
