it's a bit wierd seeing that first coop attack, they clearly split that mech in half during the animation....then right after the explosions, said robot was unscatted.
Do the buddy complex units have to be one square proximity with each other to use their team attacks? Are there bonuses for the coupling system when they're in close proximity?
IIRC combo attacks don't require the units to be adjacent anymore, but the power will be reduced. As for the coupling system, there's no bonus whatsoever. It can only share some spirit commands.

I agree, looks like they forgot to give the Buddy Complex unit animations the budget money after blowing them all onto Mazinkaiser, G-Self and Hi-nu animations. Maybe I shouldn't have been too hyped about Buddy Complex's debut after all.
Except no? Hi Nu is done by the guy who did Vangrey in V and Dancouga in Z2/3 while Arios San of all people did the G Self (at least it's not like him doing the animation for Amalgam while a newbie does Mithril in Z3)
It kinda reminds me of Mazin Emperor G's animation but then the style worked well there...not this time though. Guess 1 year is too short for a proper SRW
