This is Kingdom Hearts level crazy, but far more entertaining and impressive because a lot of the insane - over-the-top - stuff that does occur in Kingdom Hearts comes from executing special moves that relinquish much of your control. Here, the player is in complete control over every action; effectively managing the three ATB bars, perfectly timing guard and evasive action, as well as combining moves to brilliant effect. Just...wow. EDIT: I'd more liken it to games like Devil May Cry, actually.
This game looks so fun! I just can't get over the whole "being timed" thing. I like to take my time in video games, especially RPG's. I like to do everything!. I feel like this game will just be rushing me along.
Personal experience: almost 60h of game on my 1st playthrough and still at day 8 (playing blind of course!), at least 100 side quests completed... I'd say without hesitation, time management is not a problem at all once you understand the mechanics of the game. Looooove it so muuuuuch!!!
I was torn between getting either this or Bravely Default on day 1 and waiting for the other one until another pay cycle. This vid made the decision for me.
Must be an avid fighting game pro because it's all timing and execution. I'd like to know what specific moves he's using, and I'll never be able to play like this.
Shadowsoftheeternal That may be true but the tactics in Vagrant Story are different and unique and I would not want this type of flair in such a classic
Eneru89 I cant call it crap since I have not played it but I would rather a sequel to Vagrant Story have darker tones like Dark Souls. Less UI for more immersion. The first VS was a grim and dark game.
