七宝焼（尾張七宝）職人｜田村七宝工芸 

「尾張七宝・七宝焼」は愛知県七宝町発祥の伝統工芸品で、金属工芸とガラス工芸の合体工芸で宝飾工芸品です。金属にクリスタルガラスと焼き付ける、絵柄を描くのに金や銀を使います。工程数が多く手間のがかかる工芸ですが「宝石で絵を描く。デザインされた宝石」などと形容詞されるほどの色鮮やかさや繊細さは工芸で唯一。

Owari Shippo, also known as Shippo Yaki, is a traditional craft that originated in Shippo-cho in AichiPrefecture. The technique combines metalwork and glasswork in an ornamental craft techniquerecalling cloisonné enamelling. Crystal glass is baked onto metal, which is then painted with
decorative designs using gold and silver. This is a process-intensive, time-intensive craft, renowned
for its vivid colours and the delicacy of its decoration; the finished pieces are often described as　resembling “pictures painted with jewels” or as “beautifully arranged jewels”.
