I am a potter to make Bizen.
My family lives in Kojima Kurashiki.
Kiln firing is done in spring and autumn of the year twice.
備前の粘土を使いろくろで一つ一つ挽いて制作します。窯詰めは約１か月かけ穴窯へ詰めてゆきます。作品には一つ一つ藁とボタを置いていき炎の抜け具合を計算しながら詰めてゆきます。約７日間焚き続けた窯の内部は1200°近くにもなります。１０日ほど冷ましてから窯出しをします。丁寧に磨いてやっと商品になります。

Beautiful work Takaaki-san! I started pottery in Melbourne a couple of months ago so I can’t wait to come back and stay with you and show you what I can do! Please do more of these videos, I’ll definitely try make one of these cups at home!

I love your work. I am not familiar with the object on top of the wheel head that your putting the clay onto to throw what is it called? If you made it can you give a link on how to make them. It seems to make throwing small amount of clay easier like throwing off the hump
