This is a lot of hardwork and better system by philippine team. Past coaching on philippine team are not adopted to international and european style of basketball.... That wasted a lot of philippine talented players from past so many years.... With exception of tab baldwin and offcourse tim cone who transition team system to more european style equivalent and finally exposed the philippines real skills and talent.

Their shunned former foreign coach analysis of Phl basketball at best it can reach a top15 rank in the world (currently at 37 still very far with the recent win against elite top5 rank it will certainly add a + their rank will go up) every improvement and win they get in FIBA is tallied and the basis of the FIBA ranking system every countries move up and down the rank base on their game performance stat.
It's not already Olympics, it's qualifier, these tournament will test the Gilas their caliber if they can survive Brazil in semis and then the winner of Latvia/Cameroon for the Final.
@@buddypumstv9807 brizal vs ph is only 10pts if only kai plays thats a good sign. Latvia and Brazil. Brazil is 20pts+ away and sure ph is no. 1 top contender in their group sadly no kai. The brazil plays only cuts the middle to score in the paint. Our point guard Newsome is better than their guard. There is a play in 4th quarter where they let 1v1 their point guard in the paint but brazil center notice it if only that strategy works they can win maybe without kai.
