@@jokumeikalainen3859 The current emperor of Japan is a direct male-line descendant of the first emperor from 660 BCE. The danish kingdom was founded in 880 A.D. and while the royal family is related to the house of Oldenburg, it has had multiple dynasties while japan's has had no break in over 2,600 years.
yeah... I know that Japan and China have had very dark historical relations in the past, but I hope that diplomatic relations between Japan and China will remain close as well as economic, trade and tourism cooperation relations

The meaning of the lyrics of Japan's national anthem, "Kimigayo," is actually created around the theme of love. The lyrics are based on a sentence from the Kokin Wakashu (Anthology of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poetry), which was written around 800 AD. Therefore, there are many differences from modern Japanese, and even foreigners who can understand Japanese would not be able to understand the meaning. But when you translate the lyrics into modern Japanese, the meaning becomes very romantic. Modern Japanese I love you, my dear. The feelings of love for you If I were to use an analogy, it would be a collection of small stones And then they become a big lump of stone. And moss covers it For thousands and tens of thousands of years For thousands or tens of thousands of years. The lyrics are too old, and there are many other theories.
I'm just an ignorant latino, but I still don't get why would a country have a national anthem in an ancient speech that is no longer used. Like if Italy had an anthem in Latin or the UK in medieval English. And I've seen now many different translations so I guess even the Japanese stick to the interpretation they like the most 😝
@@TR4Rcuz Japan is like , untouchable nation they never got colonized by other nations just religion myb but the nation still live peacefully untill 1900s when Japan began to control most of Asia-Pacific , unlike English who's got influenced by Latins in their language, culture, and monarchy
@@TR4R Using an ancient form of a language in a national anthem, like Japan does with "Kimigayo," is about preserving cultural heritage and history. It's like Italy using Latin in some traditions or the Vatican using latin for its Anthem. It keeps the past alive and shows respect for it. It just show the depth of the language, not confusion. Many countries do this to honor their roots, so it's not outdated, its, on the contrary, a beautiful celebration of identity! Forget about the past, and the future becomes dark.
As one japanese, I appreciate your message. But now you are in more grief than we are. we are with your heart. rest in piece Queen Elizabeth the second.
This is the best way to present the ancestral roots (Shintō & Buddhism) which built up the Japanese nation. A harmony between traditions and modern technology. The best friend of Thailand. 日泰 🇯🇵 🇹🇭
@@thisisajang Japanese traditional values put huge importance on hierarchy (like many cultures heavily influenced by confucianism), so nobility and seniority can still be felt in everyday life. So you can go fuck yourselves in the company, regardless of how smart you are, if the senile old fart says that showing up an eel up your ass is a good thing, you agree at best, do it at worst

There is no anthem on this earth that represents the spirit and tradition of its country better then this one. Greetings and blessings from Germany to Japan and its people. 日本万才 !
Uoft Bab What are you taking about? You sound so evil. What is your problem? Do you know the last 70 year history. Wake up. It seems your clock has been stopped in the last century. Who are you any way? I am Japanese. Would you please refrain from calling us Japs. Can you identify your nationality?
Thank you!I went to Singapore for two years ago!The night view of Singapore was very calming to me and the people of Singapore were very kind. And I felt very sorry when I visited the Tower of Blood Bonds.I look forward to the day when I can go to Singapore again.🇸🇬 from Japan
What a great, magical country. How I long to go back. Visited in 2016, Tokyo, Kyoto, Kamakura, Nara, Himeji & Hiroshima, and just fell in love with the land and the people, their history and culture. .... If anyone is reading this and wondering whether it’s worth a visit, I would say just go, you’ll never regret it.
@@TR4R Yep, like all countries there is good and bad, that's inevitable when humans are involved. Also it is a very stratified and hierarchical society. There's an interesting book you may want to read called "Learning to Bow - Inside the Heart of Japan" by Bruce Feiler. He's an American teacher who lived and worked in Japan and gives a good insight into the social structure and barriers within that country. Despite all that though, based on my experience, I still love the place and would probably quite happily live there if I could. 😊🙏
I’m Japanese. In this video, "The Reign of the Emperor" is used as the English translation of 『君が代』, which was treated as the official interpretation in Japan from A.D. 1880, when this traditional verse was adopted as the national hymn, until the defeat in WWII(approximately A.D. 1945). However, it is not appropriate for the way it was originally used before the A.D. 1880. Primarily, the word「君」, it means "you" or "thou" , does not necessarily refer to the Emperor. It is more appropriate to use “Thy Reign" or “Your Reign” instead of "The Reign of the Emperor". Nowadays, this verse is the national hymn of Japan, so it is reasonable to interpret it as a song of praise for the country and hope that it will last. However, this does not necessarily mean that it is a song in praise of the Emperor. Incidentally, the era in which this verse first appears is around the 10th century A.D. It is said that the verse has been used for many years since that time to pray for the health and longevity of the other person. ---- 君が代は 千代に八千代に 細石の巌となりて 苔の生すまで May Thy reign, Last for ages, myriad ages, Until the pebbles into mighty rocks shall grow, Until moss shall overgrow them all ! ---- Thank you.
the Japanese language is very subtle. its main flaw and perhaps beauty. an english translation of the song would not fully explain it and allow nuance to hide cowardice. have a nice day.
I am also Japanese. I agree with your interpretation. The interpretation of this poem is very difficult and there are many abstract expressions. I interpret it as a song for the people, not a song for the emperor, and I cherish it.
Japanese anthem is just an art. Very poetic, simple, doesnt seem that emotional but it's still evoking and no political messages in it, it's pure beauty.
Salut à tous! Je suis un japonais qui étudie le français. Parce que j'aime l'histoire française, la culture et la cuisine. Récemment, je me suis également intéressé aux artistes français.

I am Chinese and I support Japan wholeheartedly . Japanese and Chinese are brothers as well as Koreans . We must work together as East Asia , as One . Love and peace to Japanese , long live Japanese technology . Japan , Korea and China be together one as East Asia
Japan is a great nation, I hope their people don’t abandon their patriotism; because Japan is oftenly suffocated by other nations due the 2nd WW, they are forced to call themselves a nation of peace with no army. Heads up Japan, be proud of you, you’re the lighthouse for many in the dark stormy sea, such a beautiful place where we would reach someday.
@@user-cd8lo5rr3u Quite expensive! I think this popularity of Japan in Brazil is due to the large number of Japanese descendants (mainly in São Paulo) and of course, by the media through the classic Anime (such as Goku, Naruto, Pokemon and others) that were shown on TV. Even here in Brazil there is the '' Festival of Japan '', which celebrates nipponic culture. I think about living in Japan one day, I am studying nihongo in this quarantine! じゃあまたね !
