We are delighted to feature Kobayashi-san, the residential manager of the U.S. Ambassador’s residence in Tokyo. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property and provides administrative support to the Ambassador. Despite work demands, Kobayashi-san takes great pride in his work and relishes the opportunity to serve every day.
Join us as we follow Kobayashi-san for a special behind the scenes tour of the Ambassador’s dwelling and meet the staff responsible for household operations. Kobayashi-san shares the rich history of the property and its representation of America to audiences abroad. Built in 1931, the home is one of the first buildings specifically constructed by the U.S as an Ambassador’s residence.
Thanks to Kobayashi-san and his colleagues, the residence not only serves as the Ambassador's home but a venue to host distinguished guests and dignitaries year round.
