Dang that's such a good and happy-ish story.... I just thought these 2 were just depressed people making a cult and Tamo's the leader Yeah now that watch video again, Tamo was in a gang and his members all died, including his closest buddy, at the very beginning of the vid, with the flashback.

I will post my observation from the og video to here that's in the same thread as Kennedy Clay comment but didn't make it into the main comment. Some more points are added and expanded. First thing, we see both Yota and Toma crushed by giant hands in two different scene. The giant hands could be interpreted as God or life itself (even make more sense as we see Yota praying to it before getting crushed). These scenes illustrate that Yota and Toma are similar people. As in both of them was dealt with a "bad hand" in life. Second thing, the scene at 1:38 . The actual sequence starts at 1:23 . We see Toma was comforting Yota. His right hand wass on Yota, patting him. His left hand was obscured. Then we cut to 1:38 . It turned into a different perspective from behind Toma. It revealed that Toma was holding a knife on his left hand while comforting Yota with his right hand. Then we got the eyes looking down. This is Toma's eyes as Toma looked down on the cryin Yota. Combined with the two graves that Toma dug later on and Toma eventual suicide, I think the scene was Toma contemplating to murder-suicide both himself and Yota. To end their shared sad and lonely life. But in the end, Toma can't take away Yota life as he looked down at the boy, an innocent and pure boy as the lyric said. So he can't do it. Third, when Yota reunited with his mother, we see Toma watching from behind a door then he closed it. It's very possible that Toma is the one who find and lead Yota's mother to reunite with his son. As a life of a homeless shouldn't be a life for a young boy. And so Toma brings Yota mom to Yota hideout. Fourth, Yota name means idiot and useless I think. Maybe that is the reason why he run away from home. Maybe Yota's family think of Yota as idiotic and useless. Yota feeling lonely from the mocking and social isolation, this prompt Yota to run away as he can't take it anymore. When his mother reunites with him, she was clearly very affectionate and hug him tight. Maybe she realized what she did was wrong during the time Yota was running away and she feels guilty about it. So when she met Yota again, she's holding Yota probably saying sorry to the boy. That's why Yota was wide eyes, maybe he was baffled at the change. Five, we got a shot of Toma's feet . He was standing over a ledge implied to be his forest hideout, probably the same forest at the very beginning of the video. It's heavily implied that his friends and family was ambushed, probably be because of involvement with bad people. And Toma is the only survivor and is on the run. Making both Toma and Yota have a similarity of bring two runaway. And that with the scene of blood on Toma's body. It means he got blood on his body. Doesn't necessarily have him be a killer, but rather because of him that his people died aka got involved with bad people and endanger his friends. Back to the scene, on one shot, Toma is standing over the ledge, the next he's gone. It can be assumed that's where he jumped and fell. Six, the scene of upside down Toma falling upside down and Yota looking up. There's a shadow flash showing two of them with different emotion and hands. It's a flash of memory the moment Toma fell midair. In the memory, it was two of them having fun. Toma looks neutral or worried. While Yota clash his hand praying smiling crying. The scene is a fun memory of Toma tossing Yota up in the air. Probably them having fun. It might have been too high, so Toma was trying to catch Yota. Yota was crying but with a big smile, his hand clasp because he was praying for a safe landing. Last, the same scene, we can see Yota's necklace broke around them. This symbolized this "religion of loneliness" (the song name) they two share are now broken. It had ended with the death of Toma. This "religion" is nothing more than just two lonely people cope with their loneliness together by hanging out with each other. Which is just friendship and support. No cult stuff here guys. On another note, I disagree with Kennedy's opinion that they are just acquainted. I think they were guienely friends but Toma had to make a choice to end it for Yota's future.
