Awesome saw!

Japanese saws drifts a lot, it took me while to develop the technique. He is cutting soft wood, hard wood is a different story. Japanese saws are nice, but they aren't magic as people like to call them. I can make the same cut with a rip Kataba Nokogiri or with a rip Disston D8 26", 5 1/2 TPI, 5 degrees rake The Disston is less likely to drift simply because the plate is thicker.

さすがプロはのこの進みが速いなぁ。自分がここまで分厚い木材を切ると途中でのこが斜めになって重くなってしまうか、手が疲れて休憩を挟みます。笑。見えてる2面の線に沿って早い段階でガイド用の薄い溝を掘っておくのもポイントなんですね。次回実践してみます。それから、見たこともない刃ののこぎりにも興味が湧きました。

This saw can be purchased at the following site. www2.odn.ne.jp/mandaraya/noko-nagakatsu-syounhin.html The feature of this saw is that you can also make lip cuts and cross cuts. In other words, it is a saw that can be cut at any angle. Of course, a lip cut special saw is good for lip cutting and a cross cut exclusive saw is good for cross cutting. And the original of this saw is actually Europe. When saw culture came in Japan it means that this saw was already in Europe.

I still don't understand why i chose to buy a dozuki and not a ryoba, the latter is a much more versatile tool and i just wanted to try a japanese style saw so no reason really for a dozuki, ryoba would've been so much better, and now back in my home country they're really hard to find unless you're willing to pay way much more than you should.
