Every time I get a notification that Anna has posted a new video, this is what I do: I take a break and stop whatever I'm doing. I send the video to the TV with the biggest screen in the house using chromecast. I relax and have a drink while I enjoy the beautiful images of the video and the music. Lately my parents and nieces have started to sit with me too, as we all virtually visit Japan together. Is not it wonderful?
This city is very beautiful and the birthplace of Nobuhiko Obayashi, one of my favorite filmmakers. He made there "The Girl who Leapt through Time" and another classics. I hope I can go there someday...
I was finally able to visit Onomichi a few weeks ago and it is, in fact, as beautiful as depicted in this video. I stayed at the Onomichi Beacon hotel which is right above Onomichi train station. The town is very walkable, although you can catch a bus anywhere you want to go. The bus station is right outside the train station.
I visited Onomichi after watching your video and the place was amazing! Just being curious, do you mind sharing the camera and lens you are using for this video? The footage just look so smooth yet so sharp!
Beautiful Sunrise🌅 Just beautiful. Look at all that history, but look at the views all around there Gorgeous😊 Thank you for the videos have a good and blessed morning👍😊
Onomichi City truly is an amazing place! I love walking the narrow passageways, exploring the shrines and temples, taking in the oceanic sunset, watching the trains go by and observing cute cats :) I felt a sense of adventure and mysticism from the variety of interesting and unique views. I am calm and excited at the same time when watching. I love floating up the stairs to see the city from new heights! Your filming is smooth as ever and the editing feels like I’m being told a story of a journey. I’m very moved and feeling connected to a place I’ve never been. I do hope I can visit one day though. Thank you so very much for taking us along on your beautiful and creative experience of wonder, discovery and delight! 🙏🇯🇵❤️⛩👍
Onomichi was considered little kyoto due to many shrines and temples. My grandma lived there when she was alive. Makes me nostalgic seeing the video. Thank you so much . It's lovely. Please go back during Cherry blossom week and go to the back side of the city towards the mountains.... Amazing areas as well.
Loved the music for this video Anna. You got quite the workout filming this video. Absolutely loved the views from up high and the narrow winding streets. Thank you for another wonderful video.
So happy to see you filmed Onimichi!!! I lived and worked here for a few years and it's so great to see all the places again through your video. The last time I was there was in March last year, visiting old colleagues. I miss that city so much!
Thank you Anna for showing us such a fascinating area. Those hill side houses and paths would be so interesting to explore. You have captured it so well as always.
I love Japan, its culture, history, traditions, its family and social values, it is also a very beautiful country and your films make it look even more beautiful. When I return from work I watch your videos to relax and feel that I am in such beautiful places. I really love your films. Thank you for such beautiful gifts.
Ahh!
Dearest Anna… here we sit having breakfast in Washington DC immersed in your latest work of art…a paen to Onomichi City. We wonder at the amount of time/attention it must take to create your films….always worth waiting for. Thank you, with gratitude and appreciation.
You just keep making these amazing videos. A beautiful sunrise to start this one. And beautiful views from above overlooking the city and the bay. Again love the stone work along the pathway their. Thanks again.
