各位觀眾大家好 Hi, my dear friends.
今天再跟各位講 Today we will continue the topic of
心的管理第二講 "the management of the heart."
這個心確實要管理 The heart does indeed need to be disciplined.
心不管理它 If it doesn't,
它就為非作歹 it will carry on misdeeds.
這個心好像工廠一樣 The heart can be compared to a factory,
工廠也要管理 which need be managed.
這個心猿意馬 The heart is always in a restless and jumpy mood
心像猴子、像馬 like monkeys or horses.
你不管理它 If you don't enforce discipline on it,
猴子亂蹦亂跳 the monkey will jump up and down,
馬也亂奔亂跑 and the horse will run about aimlessly.
都不好 Both are not good.
這個心你能管理它 So we should be able to handle it.
所謂心如同水一樣 The heart can be compared to water, too.
水也要治水 The water also need be managed,
水也氾濫成災 or it will cause floods.
心不管理 Without good management,
也會危害我們自己 the heart will bring harm to us.
所以怎麼樣再來管理這個心 So we need to keep it under control.
第一點 用信心來管理疑心 Firstly, use trustful heart to manage doubting heart.
這個疑惑 The doubting heart,
狐疑不信 suspicious of everything,
像狐狸一樣 like a fox,
對什麼東西他都不相信 can't trust anything.
這個也不好 That's bad, too.
所以有的時候 So sometimes
要用信心來管理 it should be rectified by trustful heart.
不要老是對人都懷疑 Don't be distrustful of others all the time.
第二點 用淨心來管理穢心 Secondly, use pure heart to manage defiled heart.
污穢 About defilement…
我們的心骯髒了 Sometimes our minds were defiled.
這個骯髒的衣服 Dirty clothes
要用水洗了才乾淨 need be washed clean in water.
身體骯髒了 When the body get dirty,
要用水沐浴才會乾淨 we need to take a bath to be clean.
心骯髒了 When the heart get defiled,
你也要用清淨的法水 you need to cleanse it
才能洗乾淨 with pure Buddhist Dharma water.
所以用淨心來洗滌穢心 So you can use pure heart to rinse defiled heart.
第三 用定心來管理亂心 Thirdly, use still mind to manage distracted heart.
我們散亂的心 Our distracted hearts,
妄想的心 deluded minds,
心一直不安穩 are always unsettled,
到處亂想、亂來 being wild with thought and on the drift.
要有禪定 We need to meditate
把心定於一境 and still the mind in a peaceful state,
把心定於一處 concentrating the thought on that place.
讓心整個在我心裡平靜下來 Thus the whole heart will settle
就不要擾亂了 and stop being disturbed.
你像這個水 It can be like water.
波浪 If there are waves,
看不清這個水裡是什麼 we can't see through the water.
如果這個水都平靜了 If it is calm,
就看清了 we can see clearly
我們水裡有什麼 what have in that water
心裡有什麼 and what have in our mind.
第四 用真心來管理妄心 Fourthly, use true heart to manage delusive heart.
虛妄的心 A delusive heart,
假心 hypocrisy,
對人一看了這個假的 once is perceived by people,
假情假意 seeing that you are a false friend,
說話也是假的 that you play them false
做事也是假的 with lie and pretended act,
人家就不相信你 they will not trust you again.
所以你必須要用真心 So you have to be sincere.
你有真心 With your true-heartedness,
能夠感覺到你很誠意 people can feel your good faith,
你很實在 and feel that you are dependable,
你很懇切摯誠 and in all sincerity;
他就容易相信你了 thus they will trust you easily
就跟你來往了 and make friends with you.
所以我們要把心管理好人才好 So a well disciplined heart is beneficial to us,
人好了做事才會有好事 and this benefit will help to create good deeds.
所以第二次的心的管理四點 Thus the second four points to manage the heart are:
一、用信心來管理疑心 first, use trustful heart to manage doubting heart.
二、要用淨心來管理穢心 second, use pure heart to manage defiled heart.
三、要用定心來管理亂心 third, use still mind to manage distracted heart.
四、用真心來管理妄心 fourth, use true heart to manage delusive heart.
