The Intel 8086 had around 30,000 transistors for all of its functions, meaning the impact of these old instructions are very low. In a modern CPU; DRAM and cache use all the power anyways, so extra logic circuits dont add to anything
A intruiging video, I kind of want to pick up the laptop, because working with my current one has been a hassle. wish they were easily available though, as exporting it is not ideal in case I need support :( . Nontheless, it's an idea that sounds so simple on paper, but it takes the right minds and efforts to make it work and put it all together!
